James, I'll be heading over from Mt. P at some point earlyish in the day. My MV collection is housed at Ferro's house already, but I'd be glad to be a chase car for your deuce or we could drive up together.
Those shows where they re-build a car in a week with a whole frickin platoon of people + vendors (with all new parts) don't have nothing on you Dave! You inspire us all.
Widened stock wheels look better to me than any of the other alternatives. Don't get me wrong, the bolt together rims look tough for sure, but the stock wheels look like they belong there.
I'm not sure that you know what you are asking for Jason. Visiting Ferro is an adventure. Actually going on an "Adventure" with him is something else entirely! I'm sure that John would agree with me.
I had a great time, made some new friends, ate excellent food and saw some great restorations. We also went by Jim Henry's place, he let us take his like new HMMVEE out there, gave us great deals on a truck full of parts and then hauled us back to the rally sight. I'm ready for the next rally...
Taking the vents off really changes the way the truck looks compared to other crew cab builds. In my opinion this is looking really good. I really like the proportions. Good job sir!
Re: seperating water from oil with out a heat sourse?
Yep. The ethyl alcohol will mix with any water that it can find and drop out of suspension. But the gasoline itself will stay mixed. Try the experiment.
Islandguydon is correct. If you have oil with emulsified water in it, and do not have a heat source, gas will thin the oil and break the detergent in it. The water will sink to the bottom overnight. Do an experiment with a gallon jug with some oil in it, pour some water in and shake vigorously...
Ray, I've seen "Taj" a couple of times now. She looked amazing 2 years ago and now you've built a rig that is much, much nicer than my house. The tractor is beautiful too and it's funny that it's almost secondary as the M146 takes all the attention. Great effort sir, you do us proud!!
Scott, decodeme2 is up near there, in Anapolis I believe. Maybe he could pick it up and go over it for you then you could go up and drive it back. Just a thought.
