Here we go....These photos are not intended to be an installation manual attachment, just some quick documentation of what was done. All in all, the system is nice. The documentation leaves a little to be desired, but it's adequate. Since the A/C hoses are designed to be cut to length and then...
Ok. So here's the after-action report.
We ran out of fuel. But. We also had a repair shop that diagnosed and "repaired" the fuel system leak (that was allowing air into the system) set us up for failure. Their repair? By-pass the fuel selector and run the fuel directly to the right side...
Thanks.
Recovery en route. Heading for Frederick, MD. drove this rig over
120 that last few weeks. Problem started when driving up hills with some load.
We'll figure it out. Thanks!
Westbound lane just before 450 exit.
Engine faded about 5 miles ago after tank switch. Switched
Back for two miles and continued to fade. Won't restart.
If you can help, please call with ideas. Thanks much!

Greetings,
Just found a complete Meyer plow for my CUCV M1009 and I'm looking for some detailed photos of the installation. Can anyone supply them? This plow is a 7' Meyer from about the mid-80's and is not an EZ-Classic tubular type.
Thanks much!

So in the interest of not having to rotate summer and winter tires through one set of steel wheels, I ordered a set of mat-black 15x8 alloys from Tirerack and so far I'm pretty happy with them. They came with new lugs and center caps. My wholesale price was $78/each and shipped for $40. The...
Mine never goes to 190* unless loaded on a hill. It's ridiculous really. I'm sure my mileage is lower than it should be because of incomplete fuel burn.
Can anyone help with finding the procedure? Apparently it's not that straight-forward. Already searched the threads for key words but nothing specifically about brake bleeding.
Thanks!
I'm currently searching for a set of 15" wheels for my M1009 as I have put my winter tires (Firestone Winterforce) on my factory wheels. I have a like-new set of BFG A/T's needing a new home some summer. Prefer steel, factory look, in black. Help?
I wouldn't call the relay clicking a 'chattering' like low voltage. Seems like a deliberate re-engagement of the GP system as described as an 'after-glow' by Doghead above. The only time the belt squeals is when the voltage needle shows GP engagement. After this process is complete, not belt...
Excellent, thank you. I suspected this was normal since by GP controllers behaved exactly the same way, cycling the relay, etc.... Makes sense. I just have to wait for it to quit cycling to avoid a belt squeal while it's engaged.
Greetings CUCV owners,
So when I start my M1009, there is a relay that clunks on when the key is first twisted. The voltage drops and the glow plugs do their magic. I start the truck after the wait light goes out and, while running, there is another clunk, then off, then clunk, then off...
It's your truck, do what you want. As a purist, I'd keep it bone stock. One day you might appreciate the simplicity and reliability. If you want a Blazer with all the trimmings, just buy the other Blazer and repair it. Probably less work in the long run and you have another asset to sell if...
