I restored a WC51 back in the 90's and had used a harness from VWoM. Think I paid around $600.00 dollars for it back then. I haven't looked but I'm assuming that they have gone up considerably? Stands to reason I guess as wires are made up of copper & copper is a traded commodity. I really liked...
Did not know that any of those prototypes had survived. Have only seen pics of them in Fred Chrismon's book, thanks for posting that link.

There was also one built out of (fairly heavy)steel on a cut down Ford F250 frame. It was only two wheel drive using a cadilac V8 mounted in the rear. The guys from GD had it back in the early to mid 1990s. Mike Shoaler(sp?) restorations down in Florida (whatever happened to him?)was building...

That's one good looking mutt....But I may be slanted in my opinion as I was the P/O. This now makes two M151A2s that I've sold up in the Winchester area....Wow Krink, you ceretainly have been bitten by the "OD bug". Didn't realize you were really going to tear it down. If you need any help or...
With regard to weather or not A2s were used in RVN, from what I was told the US Military predominately used the M151A1s while M151A2s were shipped over & given to the ARVN as replacements for lost A1s. There is an M151 owner's club in Saigon and all of the M151s shown are M151A2s. According to...
Mutts appear to be USMC vehicles. Notice the front bumper and the wheel hub caps sans tie down eyes... Nice find-good luck with the resto when the time comes....
