I don't have a "big" truck but I have driven my WC51 toppless (& windshield down) which is how I've driven my various M151s around for years (weather permitting, of course). Lots of fun in that configuration. Always wore safety googles, though. I like the look of the 5 tons sans canvas &...
Have you tried using a titling company such as "Broadway titles"? I used a similar company for both my ferret & M37 purchased from the same guy with just a BOS. Wasn't cheap but it got the job done.

The soft skinned MVs that were on the demill list leaked out through various means but I'd really doubt that any of the newer more modern armored stuff would. Although there was an M60A1 (A3?) MBT that was in private hands in Texas & for sale so I guess the old...
You're talking about into private hands? None that I'm aware of...... Not sure what the local Dept. armored car is, it was purchased with a DHS grant and is painted in that flat sand color that everything else is painted up in these days.
On a somewhat related...
Yeah this comes up from time to time over on the m151 forums :deadhorse:. I've heard the term "Mutt" used by several former service members . They were all from the late 1970s/1980s & post Vietnam/1960s
As for calling it a "one fiftyone", I was publically chastized by a LTC. for not...
Maybe I missed it but do you have an M151, M151A1 or an M151A2 ?
If you lift up the hood is there a small rectangular tag on the top of the firewall just about in the center of the body tub? There is a "Budd" number and a serial (body?) number on that tag...
As a former M880 owner (well, Ok it was a W200 GSA truck), just a friendly heads up. Saturn Surplus up in Pa has some of the mechanical/electrical parts for those trucks. They seemed to have the parts for those '70s Dodges when the local sources didn't...
And from what I've read the "A1" designation at the end of "M931A1" for example, denotes a truck with super singles on it.
Does that mean that the "A2" designation denotes a 900 series with the 8.3 rather then the NC250 power plant...

No it wasn't me but this was the M715 I was (seriously) considering. Glad it's going to a good home so I don't have to worry about it:).
I sure hope we get to have as much fun on Jeff's M818 add when it posts:beer:

I went back and looked & I had to really look but see that it was 374 miles & not the 734. 374 miles in 9 hours averages out to ablut 41 MPH. Sems more the norm for a large MV then 71MPH :) .

(Very) nice trucks! I'm jelious  .
Was doing a little math and if I understand correctly, Rneely you traveled 734 miles in roughly 9 hours? That averages out to about 70 couple miles per hour  That's pretty good...
