    M925 Winch Control Cable

I found seals that work for the leaking, only needed 1 but had to buy 100 so feel free to ask. The carc painting got inside the little nipple under that bulb, which mine is missing. And when operating the valve it destroys the o ring. I honed down the walls, removed the carc, replaced the oring...

Its almost like a port needed for manufacturing or install thats not actually required for operation. What does the what im...

    Aftermarket PTO/pump on Allison transmission

I just put a chelsea power shift pto in and it required a little trimming and lots of profanity. Its tight. Someone might be able to comment but from what I was looking at most are driveshafed.

Removing PTO off of M939A2 series trucks, any trick to it?

I had a slightly larger Chelsea Powershift I put in and had to move the trans to get it in. Unbolt, jack up and inch and jack over an inch in order to have enough wiggle room. Not a fun job

    winch problems

Mounted a 270 model chelsea today. Other than being a royal pita its in. The chelsea manula lists the Allison trans as a compatible model with no specific notes to look. I was implying more of why the op's motor didnt work or what other isses he found

Was there ever any closure to this issue? If so could you respond with the information. This is a real good thread on the winches and hydraulic systems but its a cliff hanger. Thanks

    M939 Series Hood Insulation

You and me both. At the very least it cut down the higher frequency noise. I think the greatest gains are sound deadening the cab, especially since I have the hard top.

    M939 Series Hood Insulation

Well, I put it in. Good news is it fits. Bad news is that it did not accomplish much. I was not able to grab the sound meter we have at work for my test so I was forced to resort to an app. So any sort of data is essentially worthless and reflected as such. I saw a reduction of about 1db on the...

    M939 Series Hood Insulation

Absolutly. I was/am concerned by the temps but I do not think the installed foam is any different. They all need to pass a similar flame retardant test. I was interested in the easy to clean version that blocks 75% vs the 60% that I got but I valued the heat reflective coating a bit more.

    M939 Series Hood Insulation

I agree with you but I figure that the actual air temperature does not fully reach that since the radiator kicks in an provides additional airflow through the motor compartment. I also went with the heat shield to aid in the possible temperature issue. It should arrive later and I think I will...
