Greetings all,
The next meeting of the Indiana MVPA club will be at the Rally & Swap Meet next weekend, 21-22 September. The meeting will be on Saturday at 10AM.
The Rally & Swap Meet is at the Ropkey Armor Museum in Crawfordsville. There are maplinks on IndianaMVPA.org. The only change...
Greetings all,
A last minute reminder about our next meeting on Saturday, 14 July. It will start at 10AM at the Sheridan Airport just north of Sheridan, Indiana. For those driving their MVs and would like to ride in together, we will be lining up and convoying 7 miles to the Airport. The...
Have you posted this on the G741.org site? There are a few M56s listed in the registry.
History will be hard to determine unless you can uncover the bumper numbers (if they are still under the paint) or it came with some paperwork. Sometimes you can trace the previous owners back to the...
Greetings all,
A reminder to those interested, the next Indiana MVPA meeting is 12 May at 10AM. The location is at 2946 S. 700 E.in Whitestown.
Technical advice, $25 door prize, summer events announcements, Rally planning, sweatshirts, and more. Hope to see you there.
Crap! Last weekend of June is when I'll be in Alabama at MVPA national. Keep posting the car shows though. I should have the bed back on my M37 and be able to make the next one.
Good show - saved a lot of bucks and got to see a bunch of familiar faces and meet some new ones. Thanks to Nick and John for getting this thing going again.
Greetings all,
Got word from Greg today and he said he had a few jeeps and some ammo trailers forecast for the display so far. He still has some room and was hoping he can get a vehicle (jeep or WC) with a MG mounted and a truck.
If you have something along these lines and you have...
Greetings fellow Indiana MVPA & HMV owners,
Have you ever considered showing your vehicle at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway? We have an invitation to bring our vehicles to the raceway on the Armed Forces Day weekend, 19-20 May. This event would be in conjunction with the Indiana National...
Greetings all,
The Indiana MVPA has moved to a new website, Indiana MVPA Home from a .com. Still has the same look, just a different webhost. We will be upgrading the .com site and get it back online eventually. Meanwhile, please update your browser bookmarks/favorites.
See you at Anderson.
Quickly, for those that ordered sweatshirts from Sam, don't forget to bring some money for them. They should be at the meeting tomorrow.
See you there.
Like TxRider said, I use a small flat blade screwdriver to pop them off. For me, putting them back on is another task entirely but with patience, not too bad.
Off the top of my head, I believe Brent Mullins bought out Sid Beck's inventory. Check over at G741.org for confirmation.
Greetings all,
The Indiana MVPA chapter will be having its meeting on Saturday, 10 March at 10AM. This meeting will be at Lindsay Clark's shop in Indianapolis. There is a map link on our website. Also, we will awarding a $25 door prize to a lucky member attending the meeting.
Hope to see...
Very nice job. And, with a proper grouping of gear to go with the truck's markings too! Excellent display.
Have you got this one registered on the G741.org site? I'm sure the guys there would love to see this one.
Milbikes,
As I understand, the USAF got most of their trucks through the Army's contracts. I don't recall hearing of a truck with USAF markings on the data plates. They just painted them Strata Blue after they got them from the Army.
Check over at G741.org as they are 100% M37 and I seem to...
I'll have to chime in and agree with 1943ht and 135gmc, if you want pure 100% satisfaction, build it yourself. I also built a replacement harness out of fresh wire, connectors, and a couple rolls of electrical tape and I am totally pleased with the outcome-can't tell it from a NOS USGI harness...
