    M1101 Pickup/Transport considerations

Fantastic idea!!! I could do that with my M1061 leveling legs and I loved it, but never considered it for my M1101s. I'll be sure to brace my front leveling leg on the way up, even thouth those flat plates on the back should hold er steady. Great tip of the day there cyclic! Thanks.

just got a m105A2, need help on lunnete tow ring flip

You need a 8-12 pound sledge, and you need to hit it like a REAL MAN! Wake up the dang neighborhood. When they get stuck, they get mean. You have to get meaner. Hit it once or twice on one side, once or twice on the other side, then back, and it will start to work loose. Once it is loose a 1/4"...

Need military truck moved from Knoxville TN to Atlanta GA

I think Gimp is going that way. I'm sure he could use some extra $ on the run down. There's never enough of that to go around. You might want to PM Gimpy and see if he can help.

HMMWV's for sale, no longer maybe, it happened

The auctioneer said Bill of Sale only, and that Bill of Sale is available upon request, so you need request it. It's not going to be given to you. Also, there will be no sales of armoured HMMWVs, or any MRAP version. Not sure if you were talking about MRAP HMMWVs Juan, or other MRAPS, but the...

    M1101 Pickup/Transport considerations

On my last trailer haul to Orlando, the new buyer immediately caught something I never did. That axle nut was loose. I always check temperatures and it never got warm. A loose nut is dangerous, and not just on trailers:lol: The raceway could come unglued and bearings fall out. Shake these tires...

HMMWV's for sale, no longer maybe, it happened

Yes, I posted the rumors out of a very large Air Force installation about 18 months ago or so. The coding had not been changed at the time by the Equipment Specialist to offer to the public. I recall taking some unwarranted and even hostile criticism and just asked the thread be closed to avoid...

    Lockbourne pickup

I just shipped a new 16' Old Town wooden canoe from Missouri to Georgia this week with freightquote and it was cheaper than my fuel cost and saved me 2 days labor too. I would rather go with a SSer like Gimpy and pay him, but if that doesn't work out, get Rachael's extension number and call her...

    Purchase or Pass?

If that had a frame off 7 years ago, runs fine, stops well with disk brakes, power steering (whaaaaaa.....?) and is only $5K, it sounds like a dream come true. I have a M-37 pretty much so original except converted to 12v, and I would love to have that. Sounds like a steal to me, provided the...

    XM1061E1 Trailer Brake Shoes

M105a2 part number 7064972 is the same NSN as the A3 What is odd is, researching part number 8336701, it says M105A3, but lists it as a 2" in lieu of 3" brake shoe. 2530-00-693-1007 is a 3", so I'm not sure how we come up with this anomaly. I'm at a loss on this one. I think I would just pull...

    So I bought an M105A2

Good idea to put the rear stabilizer bar down and tightened it up. You get a bit of sway towing these as they can sometimes feel top heavy, depending on the trailer you use to tow with. I like to put the front end down on the wood, or, put the pintle down and lock the brakes, to help hold down...

    M101 A2 tire suggestions

David, I'm wondering if you could post some pics of your 46 power wagon. I am looking at a 47 dodge pickup of unknown origin now, trying to work out a deal. The grill is fantastic, but it looks like a $10K bill to fix up and he says he has $10K in it now. It doesn't show. I want to work a trade...

Found this little guy out in the woods behind my house, 1943 M3A4!!!

So much for my memory... A follow up to the restore just came on He charged $1400, for what looked like an insanely easy restoration, and recommended no less then $2800 as a starting price minimum, for resale value.

Found this little guy out in the woods behind my house, 1943 M3A4!!!

I just saw one of these on Pawn Stars on TV. The owner wanted $500 to start. Rick wanted to call in an expert for what he thought was this piece of junk. The expert came in, and said Wow! I know what this is. He said it was worth $1500-2000???, and twice that fully restored. Price to restore...

I hope we can see it at the Ga. Rally. Nothing like an M-37 passing by to make your day. She's gonna be a beauty. Can't wait to see it in person!
