I had the same thing happen after the LMC upgrade. Turned out to be ground wire, rust and condensation. I wasn't a big deal to correct but a pia to figure out.
Just got my m1009 painted using the Hd paint. Installed the LMC HD headlight harness. I'm thinking I have a bad ground though, the passenger side light is really dim. As for the paint, its holding up really well considering the extreme cold here. After paint, the whole truck was hot oil'd to...
Just got my LMC relay installed. For some reason the passenger side headlight is dim, extremely dim. Did I do something wrong with the install? I do have a halogen bulb on the driverside and a GE bulb in the passenger side, could that be the problem?
I just pulled the starter today to have it rebuilt. I noticed that I don't have the shield on mine. anyway, I disconnected the batteries first, then I had to disconnect a smaller red wire which appeared to have been connected to a blade terminal and it runs up the back side of the engine.
Now...
Found the shield in classifieds on here along with some other little items I needed. Thanks for the response though. The new rad has been in for a few months though. I'll install the new hose I got from napa today and give it another try. #1 hose was from autoz.
Changed out the heater hoses and radiator hose today. Ran into a small leak though. NAPA says I have the correct rad/ hose but it still leaks. Am I missing something??? The radiator is new so there shouldn't be an issue but why the leak? Also I noticed on another M1009 that there is a "shield"...
I have a manual button in my m1009 and I usually hold the button in between 15 to 20 seconds when its extremely cold (0 to - ??) And cycle 2x and she starts no problem. In the warmer temps just 1 5 to 10 seconds and its good. I too have found out that the ac60's are the way to go. I usually...
Here's a thought, but I think you already did this for some reason: dark grey seats with matt black dash (or visaversa) ; outside: a (2) shades of black and dark grey camo effect. Urban camo scheme variation. Just a thought.....
I live close to RSOPerator apparently since the temp. here was the same. My 1009 had to be cycled a few times using the manual GP button, but she fired right up after that. In this unexpected cold snap, I find that if I take the ole gal for a quick 5 mile drive daily, it helps to keep the...
CDR Valves "suck" but you do need it/one on your truck. Easy fix is to buy a new one from an auto parts store. Just look at it first before leaving the store to make sure you have the same type. I had to have mine ordered took two days, first one was not the same type.
(just my 2 cents)...
