Remember that Rome wasn't built in a day! Don't push your grandpa too much or you could end up going overboard. Subtle little reminders to him of your sincerity for this project might help, but don't be to annoying. I know its hard to have to wait for things you really want, however "good...
Thanks epitts! That's what I was looking for. For some reason I don't have that particular diagram in my download, my page was just blank. I did see the zerk fittings
I knew I was gonna get smacked on the nose by doghead so I already flinched and ducked. Lmao.
Thanks, I'm gonna re-download again.
Kinda stupid question, but are there just the 5 grease fittings up front on the m1009? I searched the 2320 and only seen the 2 on the driverside and 3 on the passenger. for some reason I thought there were more.
I'm gonna bump this thread. I'm wanting to use the behr paint over existing carc and was wondering......can I just spray the behr on or do I need to sand lightly first? I thought I had read somewhere on this thread that the behr paint likes to stick to the carc so I assumed I could just spray on...
Have you checked the bulb and socket. I had a similar issue and it was the bulb (rear). It also looks like that ground connecter (on your e-brake) was re-located from where it should be which is up higher and behind the blackout switch, but has me confused because you stated that you spliced...
My m1009 started out as my "toy", when my son turned 16 it became "his toy"; actually its "our" toy though. He enjoys it way more than I do but that's alright. All his buddy's are envious of him for having such a cool truck to drive. You wont regret having yours when your up and running. This...
Everyone likes a good newb story and everyone on here loves to contribute.....makes us feel warm and fuzzy. Just take your time and do it right the first time (work smarter not harder)
Ditto for what its worth. Try cleaning your socket connecters with a little steel wool and use socket grease with the new bulb if your in a hurry/pinch. Replacing with a new socket is the best solution.
Temp. dipped into the 20's here last night. I don't have a block heater on my 1009, and have never had an issue. Just cycle your glow plugs twice and she should start right up, mine does. I have thought about a block heater though, I'll be honest. Just never got around to it. As for the...
Got mine at Auto zone $329. The give a veteran s discount plus used a coupon. Looking on line it shows out of stock, go to the store and they will order it for you. It is all brass and copper. I had no problems with install at all.
Funny thing, the new radiator is 4core. The old one I replaced...
If anyone needs the side glass for a m1009 i'll bring them, just paying it forward so they are free. I do need a spring for the front hubs, one of mine is not too springy any more and the twist lock-out wants to move around. Looking forward to see Kip, 319 and docfarmall again this year. Doc...
Thanks Vhyle, I thought I remembered correctly. Turns out that the fuse was only loose of all things to happen. I took it out and pushed back in and whala ! My fingers were knumb this morning from the cold.
This just happened out of the blue this morning: started M1009 ok, turned on the heater fan and the Gen 1 light came on but no heater blower. I know to check the fuses when I get back home but the question is, why did this happen. If I remember correctly, I read a post somewhere that stated...
