one in torrington has a slipping starter... i may end up grabbing it though and just get the starter rebuilt... i kinda don't want to buy a truck that i'm gonna have to work on day one.
Hey guys i need a CUCV in CT or surrounding states... Every day driver i've looked at a few and pretty much most of the trucks i've seen are pretty messed up. i'm taking a drive out to coleman surplus tomorrow in PA... from the sound of it their trucks are rotted and not exactly well kept...
i just want a 1008 and i think jcappel is selling his today.. i was gonna get there tomorrow morning.. :( so the search continues im in CT so closer is better. Looked at one in torrington and it has a slipping starter.. how much is a starter for the 1008?

this must be one of the minimal numbers that the air force ordered... they are part of a GM program to keep the contract. they were calling it a CUCV-III i wikipediad the CUCV and it's listed in there with the AC compressor...
