I have seen prices as high as $3000 and up for a complete set in good condition. and due to the new release of trucks the prices are going up even higher.
And that doesn't include the supplemental armor plate on the doors. or ballistic glass.
I've got the seats installed and have a seat belt kit for the front seats on the way. I still need to touch up a few places here and there and I plan to take on the wheels today and tomorrow.
If anyone is interested I would be open to the idea of repainting trucks for other people for a fee...
Thank you all for the responses. I really wanted to document this for anyone that has or will be getting a hmmwv in the future and wants to go back with this pattern.
My truck was a 2 man setup that was originally 3 color NATO and then painted tan in 2006.
I havnt seen any issues with the...
I installed the soft top and doors and put the seats back inside.
The lines of the cammo on the top and doors lined up nicely with the paint pattern I laid out on the truck by following the TM.
I started at the back of the truck in the tailgate area where you wouldn't be able to paint once the gate was closed. I then moved the other inside of the bed and got as much of the interior as I could reach, then the rear wheel wells. I then painted the passenger side up to the windshield and...
I finished the green last night. And just for anyone's reference, 1 gallon will not cover a hmmwv completely, inside and out.
For some crazy reason I was thinking it would. I must have been thinking back to my m151a2 that I did a repaint on and it used less than 1 gallon....a jeep has less...
So, just in case anyone is curious, 1 gallon of green 383 in behr will not cover all of the areas required for a color change on a hmmwv. i.e. wheel wells, interior, and exterior.
so.......i'll resume painting today after another run to home depot.
No. It has 2 different nozzle attachements though for different levels of detail work.
It's the flexio 690 by Wagner. It has a 1.5 qt cup under the nozzle and the turbine is separate, which takes a lot of the weight Out of the gun.
So I went to lowes last night and had zero luck with any of the FS codes.
It looks like I will be going to Home Depot to get the behr paint.
Though I did get a new paint rig at lowes, the flexio 690. I'll let everyone know how it works out. And they did have a brown and green and black color...
Heres a random thought....
What would be wrong with just running the 12v side of the niehoff directly to a radio setup for power? that way I wouldn't be connected to the 24v circuit at all and when the truck is off the radio is off and cant be used.
I used acetone tonight on my m998 and a little bit of crown spray tuff stuff paint stripper.
What I found was that the truck was stenciled twice.

Hello everyone.
I have a 1987 M998 with the 6.2 in it and 60 amp alternator. V-belts

I have a Niehoff 100 amp dual voltage alternator that am wanting to install. NSN:2920014070532
I realize that this topic may have been covered in the...
I am as well. But the thing with the M997A2 contact is that its only somewhere around 200-300 million, this was 30 billion. I just don't see how AM general will stay in the game in the long run without a major breakthrough.
