Does any one know where I can find new Military batterys that fit the Cucv M1008?
I have looked every where in San Antonio Tx and can not find anything close.
Who makes them?
Thanks Kenny
A big chain around the axle and a 50 year old oak tree works good.
Or if you like Fireworks and have a thing for large bug zapers you always could run 220 volts with a welding cord under a front seat cover and a ground to the steering wheel.
Check with your local state laws first...
Alot of people dont know about black out lights.
The guy that I bought my 1984 CUCV M1010 with 28,000 miles on it bought it from GSA and could not get the head lights, blinkers or brake lights to work.
He had no clue about the black out lights or what they did.
I gave him 2,800 dollars for...

 I have seen your truck on Ebay for the last month. Are you selling many pictures?
Because if you are I am going to starting taking pictures of my trucks and selling them.

It is fixed.
It was eather a loose wire on the + block on the fire wall.

It sure is nice to have so many people here helping me out.
:D Thank You!!
I pulled out the bulb holder and looked at it but i did not look at the circuit board.
What I do not under stand is that if you can jump start one of these trucks by conecting to the front battery,Why won't one alt. charge both sence they are conected together.
Well I am off to try the Ohmmeter...
I see every thing for a light on but nothing for one off.
O Well maby someone here has had this happen to them before and just has not seen the post yet.
This was the same light that use to flash on and off while driveing down the road,Turned the head light on or the blower on high and it stoped...
 While changing the dash pad yesterday my volt gen meter arcked on the metal part the dash pad mounts to and stoped working.
I replaced the 20 amp 28 volt fuse in the fuse block and it works now and apears to be charging while running.
