Your fuel filter has 4 or 5 holes in the back of it that have rubber seals. That is more than likely your leak if it is not the air blead or drain drain.I think the filter is about 18 dollars at Pep Boys and Auto Zone.
If you have the tire size that come on it,it would not be safe not to go...
Both of mine squeal after start up for a couple of seconds but only if I push on the peddle.
I just let it idle for 2 minutes before I leave and no Sgueels.
I am just to lazy to spend the 2 minutes each to tighten them because it does not do it if I let it idle for a minute or 2 before take off.
I have used the fuel tank epoxy and it worked well.
I have also used Fiber glass resson to repair pin holes in carb floats.
But if it were my tank I would see if there were any way at all to put a brass bar inside of the tank on the hole and a large heavy peace of steel on the out side and try...
There is one in San Antonio For 275 dollars on GSA and it ends Tuesday the 28th of this month.
I looked at it today and it would make a great parts truck.
All the tires are up.It looks like the only big thing wrong with it is the front clip is gone.
It has the fold down sides on the bed.
Looks like a money making truck.
And the last picture I cant tell if the kid behind the driver is freaking out or happy as can be.
Any way those are some good pictures and I realy like the tires.
Ok I screwed up now.
I was looking a the tm manuals on removing water from the fuel filter on a Cucv.
I loosened the water bleader under the fuel filter that has the hose that runs next to the leaf spring.
I only loosened it 3/4 to 1 turn.
Yellow nasty stinky stuff came out and then it cleared...
I have been told the only thing 24 on a cucv is the starter.
That big black thing on the fire wall right behind your air cleaner changes 24 to 12 and then it goes right to the glow plug relay. So I would think it would be 12 volt glow plugs
Looks nice!!
I have always wanted on but being that I only know how to drive them and have no clue how to work on them or a place to keep one I have just stayed with the CUCV trucks
The one in Killeen Texas went for 1900 and did not look half that nice.
You scored man!!!
I am very happy for you...
