I can't tell for sure which truck wires you've connected your new wires into. Could you give me the wire numbers? If so, I'll try to help.
Edit... Just looked at the schematic. One wire (according to the drawing) goes to the temperature gauge and the voltmeter +. That will be the +24vdc wire...
It's called "Dear, can you help me with this? My hands are too sore right now and I can't get the grease in the bearing..." Believe it or not, it has worked. What really irks me though, is the my wife can help change a starter or grease a bearing and will only get her fingertips dirty. I can't...
Well, you're wrong, Ryan. It's only been 4. Oh, wait! It's only been a couple of days.... Sorry! And I've not even mentioned my way of doing it yet....
Wow!
I've been following this build from the start. Two things impress me about it. First, the overall quality, and second, the speed with which it was done. I'm well aware of the scope of your project and the headaches involved, as I'm getting things ready so I can restore my soon-to-be...
As a side note... There is a product called "Copper Shield" that I use on battery and cable connections. It's almost like a semi-liquid copper. I've not had any corrosion problems on my connections but you do need to be careful with the stuff. If you're not careful, you will have it everywhere...
And, as usual, I searched first so I didn't start a furball. Seems we've had a bunch of questions lately on the search function. I'm usually pretty good at searching for things (like my phone, glasses, keys, etc...)
That may be the answer. This one is a 69 Kaiser. Everything going on in my life right now and I get curious about brush guards.... Go figure...:cookoo:
This is purely a curiosity type of question. All of the M35A2s I've looked at have the metal brush guard covering the front turn signals, but all of them are round on top, somewhat following the profile of the lights. The truck I'll be picking up shortly has square brush guards over the turn...
Sometimes just taking a couple of days off a project, especially one this involved, does wonders for attitude. Been there, done that.... That being said, when you look at your amazing progress on your truck in a relatively short time, a couple of days won't hurt a thing. A beer or two while...
Honorable men and women deal with each other up front and with a handshake. I think the fact that you were up front about it when, as others have said, you really weren't required to do so, says as much as I need to know about you. My impression is that you have three functions: moderator...
Let's make this easier
Hey Tin. Maybe I can help a bit. Been reading this thread and might have something to add as I do this kind of stuff for a living. First off, don't add complication with wire numbers, etc, at this point. Make sure you know how to use your meter and that you understand the...
A "stealth" Deuce. As if that doesn't absolutely defy the laws of physics...
It does look great and the color seems to work just right in this case. I like it!
Just read the whole thread. I've heard the "It's just a truck." line before, but the "That's my TRUCK!" emotions overruled. Having lost "vehicular loved ones" myself, and understanding the feelings involved, I do admire your attitude. Besides, consider the old one as training for the 109 build...
"Thought more might chime in on this post? Should have posted elsewhere maybe?"
This location makes sense to me. I would think we're not the only ones who've experienced this kind of problem. Maybe everyone else is just lucky.....:-?
