To the room - on a general purpose note: Where are good sources for replacement batteries for the SEE? I know I could cobble together any 2 12v batteries, but I like the fact that these are already secured well in the tray, as I will be doing some rough country maneuvering. It is especially...

No spares, but did anyone research who bought all of the LA salvage units, they are bound to have spares. BTW, the Exige has no rear view mirror - whatsa behind you isa no important. :recovry4x4:

My other car is a Lotus Exige, PLEASE don't treat the HMMH as a sports car unless you paint the #116 on both sides (reads 911 when it is upside down);)

Very cool, both should serve you well when the snow flies.

Thanks General Hood, the wiring schematic arrived today in excellent shape. Will be ready for those little wiring niggles now.

I LOVE ladders - especially when they are in storage. I hate falling, I hate hanging while the ladder is placed back under you, I hate avoiding falling materials while hanging waiting for the ladder, etc. but sometimes they are just necessary. I agree on hydraulics - could fail, but slower and...

That ought to get you nearly anywhere to start digging. BTW, who is the creepy guy hiding behind the 419 about to scare those kids?

I don't think that is anything new, back in the 60-70's there was an option on some motohomes that would inject the waste slurry into the exhaust strean for incineration. Probably really give the O2 sensors fits now, nevermind the catalytic converter.

Same here, maybe it is the size of the club - small, and smaller each day as many of the remaining units seem pretty bad. BTW, does anyone need a new heater unit for the SEE or HMMH? I found some on an auction site, problem is it is a lot of 7, If cheap enough, might be worth having - if they...

FOD, that is similar to what I was envisioning. The crane I have was designed to go into a 2" receiver, has a pivot on a 1-1/2" rod and has a hand winch already attached. Designed to lift game into a pickup truck, I may find a place near the side rail to mount a receiver. Using another idea, I...

Since I purport to be a prepper of sorts, I was considering the possibility of changing tires on a SEE. Obviously raising a small army so I always have 2-3 people available is one option, but just for argument's sake, removing and replacing a 170 lb tire and wheel out of and back into the...

A proper salvage yard could make some good money, long term, heck they are still selling parts for Model T's. I (read DW) wouldn't want one sitting in the back 40 just waiting for the day someone needs a part, but that is not the business we are in. I hope someone is able to capitalize on...
