My 105 trailer jack had been damaged and would not retract at all. I needed my highlift to hold the trailer up so the trailer jack could be removed. Make sure you take your toolbox as well just in case. Good Luck.
I can't wait for this show! I am looking forward to meeting many of you. You have all been very friendly and helpful. What kind of accommodations are available at this show? I hope to be able to make all three days with a large stack of cash. The large stack of cash probably won't happen. In...
When I mounted 395's on my stock rims I had the same problem. My deuce got REAL squirrelly. Gimpy gave me the same advice about lowering the air pressure. It seems very counter intuitive but he was absolutely correct. I tried running at many different higher pressures before I spoke to him with...
Hi all,
I recently had to change my transmission out due to a smoked 5th gear. My question is are there any parts worth salvaging out of the old transmission or should I just scrap the whole thing? Thank you
If profanity was allowed it would be funny to here what all of our wives call our trucks. My wifes cakes my truck some very colorful and creative names.
It is not wired anywhere near as nice as any of Stretch's equipment judging from his pictures. Wiring is just not my specialty.
Stretch, I am absolutely amazed that you built your own bowl. I thought you bought the bowl and built the rest. I had thought
about doing the same and just couldn't...
I did exactly what Stretch did for mounting the heating element. I however used and old party helium tank for the heating vessel. The oil has more "hang time" in the tank than using a piece of pipe which I have heard likes to burn elements up. And it doesn't take forever to heat up like a 55...
Aw crap, I thought the shop guys were original coming up with "Big Stinky" , You got me beat by a few years there Rustygears! Great names guys! I will have to try and experiment to see if the vinyl stickers will adhere to CARC.
Fuzzy,
Here is a picture of the nose art on my CJ7. I actually had it printed by a guy who does sponsor stickers for race cars. It is 6 years old and still looks brand new. The other cool thing is if you really scratch it up like I did on the passenger side you can just print another and...
Hi All,
Just wondering what some of you have named your trucks. Has anybody painted nose art on their truck? I personally was working on the just right name for my truck but was having a hard time. Then the guys at work did it for me. My truck was named "Big Stinky". Not the most romantic...
Stretch,
I have a few questions for you.
What type of pump are you using?
How do you flush the lines of dirty oil to move clean oil?
Very cool control manifold by the way.
How do you provide 24V to the float valve?
Could the 24V power supply power something larger?
Hey Stretch I had no idea that Tiro is as close to me as it is. I live up on Kelleys Island and work in Fremont. I would love to get together sometime and compare filtration methods. That is a cool setup you have there. I need to post my setup as well.
glad hand
A long hauler buddy of mine taught me the trick of spitting on whatever
you are attaching to the glad hand for lubrication. It helps a great deal but
Silicone might be a little more long term.
