So I finally got my replacement trans in place in the 818 (not completely hooked up yet, but bolted in place) before I put it in the truck, the gear shifter moved freely, but while installing at some point it sort of froze up. Not sure what the deal is.
Does anyone have an idea? Is there a TM...
I used the foot method also, had some good effect, but part of the dent popped back in.
My dumper had a PERFECT top, just a little surface rust around the door edges. Too bad the previous owner mounted a rotating light to the top
So your using a piece of strap and bolting one end to the engine housing using a trans bolt hole, and another using one of the pressure plate bolt holes in the flywheel?
I'm trying to torque my flywheel bolts (210 fl/lbs) and I'm having trouble keeping the engine from moving.
What is the correct way to bar over the engine?
I tried the bolt on the accessory pulley, but it doesn't work too well by yourself.
Stock tanks. The mud guards on the front were removed.
The tires are probably about 2" from touching. Hard to say for sure, never measured them. Haven't had any rubbing.
Thanks, now I just need to get the clutch and trans back in, and the brakes bled and adjusted so I can drive it. It's no fun working outside in the cold and snow.
Yup, clean MI title. Reg was like $120 bucks or so (hard to remember). Tagged as a regular pickup, with a standard license plate. The lady at the DMV asked me if it was a pickup, I shrugged my shoulders and said it's got a bed on the back. That was enough for her.
Welcome to the site! I have a deuce for you not too far away :)
We are getting quite a few MI folks on here, I though everyone was moving out of MI

After getting my first truck, I invested in a cheap harbor freight 1" impact and socket set. Works off the trucks air just fine, but have to wait for the tank to refill often. Makes lug nuts a breeze.
Can't help you with your parts, but since your talking deuce tipper parts, I need the handle on the front drivers side of the dump bed that controls the tailgate locks. Probably not going to find one but figured I'd ask.
Anyone have a pic of the handle? I can try to add on to mine to make it...
