I got some prices. $500 for an M105, and 1600 for an M105 w/ the fiberglass hardtop.
Sounds more like someone who is trying to sell, rather than someone who wants to "clean out"
The zip code listed in the other site is for Chippewa Falls
I sent the guy an email to see if I can arrange a time to go look. Citizensoldier when are you going to be in the area? Maybe we can arrange to take a look the same day. I'll bring the Trenary toast ;)
Looks like ther might be...
Yes, the NDT's are horrible in snow.
I'm up at my camp in Trenary for the week if you want to talk deuces or have any questions that I can help answer. As far as the snow goes. You should be just fine from chicago to escanaba. We just got some snow in Gladstone yesterday, but the highway...
I'm going to be swapping the trans in my 5-ton soon, and doing the clutch while I'm in there. I've found all of the parts except the pilot bearing.
If you decide to do it yourself you can borrow the alignment tool I got after I'm done. Going to try and order the parts tomorrow morning and do...
I did not unhook the shafts, put transfer and trans in neutral. Tires were checked. After getting it back up to finish the tow, it was going fine, then felt like it wanted to go left bad. We pulled over and everything seemed ok. Got started again and could feel it pull again, pulled over and we...
I drove it down my camp road, everything seemed to work ok. I would go through all of the brakes, diffs, wheel bearings before I drove it. Also, the gauges and lights are not working. THe gauges worked before I took out the batteries, so I don't know if the Gen is charging or not, or if it...
Drove the M35a2 140 miles to the M342. All well except for all the air leaks negating the heater install. Got to the M342, swapped tires, ok. Time to start. Dead batteries, I've got the slave cable, hook it up and nothing. Hmm, Well just push start it. Get back to the M35 and all power is...
FYI: The heater kit I got came with 2 of the mounts that attach to the blower unit. The other is used on the side cover. My other deuce that came with a heater installed is setup the same way.
The supply line is the rubber line, the other two should be copper lines and both go to the transfer case.
Also, the 2 that go to the transfer case come out of the top of the valve. The other comes from an air source, and goes into the side.
There have been quite a few topics on here about...
The popping out of high range is a fairly common failure for these cases. I just replaced the one in my 818 because of this. Not a real fun job, it is very heavy.
The air lines are for the sprauge. One for forward and one for reverse.
Both lines go to the poppet valve on the trans. The...
Now that you mention it, I am going to go this route. The batteries in the M342 are still decent and will start the truck, so they should last flashing the whole way home. I will bring some extras just to be sure they don't crap out.
Thanks Stretch! I've read that thread a few times, but never noticed that it was that simple to hook up the brakes. I thought you had to do all of the plumbing. I will plan on doing so when towing it, just to be careful.
