Harness I bought at Aberdeen is NSN 2590-00-076-6001, has the 2 prong plug for the charging system Harness I ordered is NSN 2590-01-016-3187, Part # 11677081 that has the 3 prong plug for the charging system.

I need to replace the front wiring harness in one of the m35a2s. I have one coming but not until next week. Should I pull the old one today or wait until the new one comes in to remove the old one from the truck? I have all the wiring diagrams I need to replace it.

depends on what model detroit. 671 I think would be a little long, I have seen one of those in a m35 but the motor was too tall as well. I would go with a cummins if youa re repowering.
