Couldn't make the meet, but I am finding my truck has a transmission issue. It drives fine and then all of a sudden it goes into neutral with a code # 4. I am thinking of taking it to an allison dealer/repair place. It seems to be a very common set up.
These days I am mostly looking for...
arcadia…..wow, I am in Costa Mesa near John Wayne airport……how about the body parts, have you had any luck with mcmasters? I found a lot of interchangeable HMMWV stuff from them in the past, but these parts are much more readily available. I changed all the fluids, and go the truck running and...
Thanks All! Bronto was it, but the BAE trucks look the same too. My Engine is fine, but need some body parts, and these trucks probably have many of the same parts such as the rubber mounts and bushings, which are all deteriorated on what I have.
A link was posted once on SS to a company that is manufacturing a commercial vernon of the M1078 LMTV. I am not talking about the hot rod version, but a purely identical LMTV for commercial use. I cannot for the life of me find the link.
Does anybody know who this company is?
Thanks!
See, I am looking at historical vehicle plates (25 years or older) The GL description said nothing about the year, so i should put 1985 as the date when I ask of the title paperwork from GL I assume…..?
I have a reconditioned MK48. I can see on the reconditioning plate that it was done in 2008.
However, all the other plates have blanks for "date of manufacture."GL did not list a date on the sale invoice or web listing.
How can I find out the true date of manufacture? The plan is to register...
I guess it really depends on which DMV, because I already had it titled and plated out of state, and was not even trying to get a first title with GL docs and the just could not deal with it. The Lady came out to do the inspection and when I pointed everything out to her she filed and said "I am...

You can be exempt from wight, which would kill you on this. I recommend using a registration service that contracts with the DMV. If you show up at the DMV in that, you are wasting your time. They could not even handle my M35A3.
I got my MK48 FPU but the seats and cushions are torn to threads.
Although they are no duce seats, the cushions kind of look like HMMWV seats. Does anybody know what common trucks takes the same kind of seat cushions? The seats themselves are mechanically fine.
On another note, the batteries...
I have been using DAK Transport with lots of success and decent prices. When I tell them I found a cheaper rate, they usually step up to match or beat it. I don't work for them, but the organization they did on both ends saved me a lot of headache. I highly recommend them

I don't know, I have 3 MV's but don't park any in front of my house….I would not park a giant RV there either.
I am probably going to catch a lot of flak for saying this, but when people make the determination wether or not they can afford to buy something like a boat, part of the cost should...
NO, you are wrong on the CDL requirement. This subject has been rehashed so many times it's not funny. You only need a CDL if its used for commercial purposes. The other exception is if its house car (giant RV). Otherwise, they fall outside of the regulations. I am a lawyer, a Navy officer, and...
