Heater in a can - Now you can have your turbo and heat it too!

Having a heater makes all the difference. It rained on my parade the other night, but the heater kept the cab nice and cozy!

    M923 Bedliner Paint Job

Since they can mix your color of choice into the solution it would be easy to add 383 green or desert sand color to the liner.

Heater in a can - Now you can have your turbo and heat it too!

OK, one of the last items for this heater project is getting the permanent hose clamp made and mounted under the radiator support. I made it out of 2 pieces of 3/4" aluminum square stock and drilled 1" holes between the 2 halves. The top half has thru holes and the bottom half has 1/4" N.C...

    Newly acquired M39-a2 I believe

Yeah, I'm in North Central Washington (Wenatchee) but still far enough away that I don't picture myself driving the 5-ton to the sound

    Newly acquired M39-a2 I believe

I've always wanted to take my 5-ton on a ferry. That would be fairly epic

Does anyone have a dragon stencil painted on their truck?

Interesting info- thanks! I think I read that they returned to Ft. Sill in 2017 so they weren't at Ft. Lewis for very long.

VIC-1 intercom panel for soft tops

I just finished reloading all of the pictures in this thread back to full size. When the forum switched software a few years ago it had reduced all the pictures to almost a swatch size. *VIC-1 update - I still love the intercom and it is working strong and clear. The only complaint I have is...

Does anyone have a dragon stencil painted on their truck?

My 2nd challenge coin for 5-5 ADA arrived today and it shows Korea as its location. I don't know if that would be a deployment or more like a permanent station. Either way these are pretty interesting.

Does anyone have a dragon stencil painted on their truck?

I found a 5-5 ADA challenge coin and picked it up because of its prospective yet unconfirmed tie to my trucks history / stencils. People have been asking about the stencils lately so it'll be fun to have a conversation piece to show them and talk about my truck's origin suspicions.

M939 series winch PTO hydraulic pump and drive adapted to M809/M939 series winch to a M809 series 5 ton.

The PNW Steel Soldiers group had a post about an 809 PTO mated to a hydraulic pump for sale. Not sure if you'll be able to see it, but here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/339623506135698/permalink/4790641381033866/

Sealing a rusty LMTV rim bead.

I would give the jb weld or metal glaze a try. Seems like it couldn't hurt.

Bertha is apparently jealous of the attention I'm giving the M37.(Torque bar separation)

Fair enough. I have a feeling that my 16.00s may stress my bushings a bit more in the turns and cause them to reconsider their contentment...

Fitting / Thread size M809-series fuel filter canister

TM + part target say that it's a 3/4" UNF male thread to accommodate a 1/2" tube.

Bertha is apparently jealous of the attention I'm giving the M37.(Torque bar separation)

Do you think 16.00R20s could push them over the edge?

    Finally! - 16.00R20s for my M813

True...maybe I should trade my pants for a tacti-kilt or something. I'm so used to the stock height that that last step keeps catching me by surprise when I'm stepping off the truck and end up going further than I expect.

M813 engine oil in brake air tanks

Go here to CARNAC's thread and download the appropriate PDF so see the manufacture year for your serial number. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/carnacs-historical-vin-info-thread.193055/#post-2258512

    Finally! - 16.00R20s for my M813

I am liking the similarity between the AT3A and the SandTrail tires on the ATAC test truck.
