I got a bunch of marker lights and brackets off a 5-ton truck that I want to install on my 1985 M35A2C. I've looked at the wiring schematic document I found posted to a different thread, and I don't see circuit #489 "clearance marker service." There are a few different schematics posted to...
Well, since we have proven success from another SS member with the 54RA2 part from PATC, that seems like the way to go. I'm going to order one of these up and see how it does. Thanks for doing the research on this, peashooter!
Thank you, peashooter
I submitted a request for a quote. I've done that before through this same group, and they've came back with ridiculous quotes. I hope this is a part they have in stock.
I recently got a winch put on my truck that I got from SS member tie6044. I tried to figure out which version of PTO I have, but a couple of the options look very similar. I hope some of the experts here can tell from my pictures below which model of PTO I have. I'm more curious than...
I've spent a good amount of time looking through the TMs to find the process to replace the transfer case output seal - with no luck. This is the first time the TMs have stumped me, so any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Specifically, do you know what TM I should look in and...
You have a very nice looking truck. The truck in the pictures doesn't look like a drop-side truck. It does have the tie-down anchors that only the 2 1/2 ton drop-sides have, but I don't see the hinges on the bed that are supposed to be there or the spacers on the rear spashguards. It's also...
Convoy Light parts
I ended up getting a set of inner and outer poles from TNJ Murray; they said these were the last ones they had. That set was missing one of the triangle mounting plate brackets (12296642) and both of the circular mounting plates (12301062). So, I found the triangle mounting...
Who on the ePay did you get it from? It looks like this adapter from the 900 series of trucks is for the 43" tires, is that correct? If so, that would get the speedometer reading closer but not totally corrected. Does that sound right?
Does anyone know if there is an adapter to correct the speedometer reading when you move up to the 395/85R20 tires? My truck speedometer reads about 7 to 8 MPH slower as compared to what the GPS say. I have looked though other thread posts, but have not yet found the right one. I know it's...

Thank you, rustystud! I drove my truck 90 miles today, and the hoses held up to the temperature of the nearby exhaust manifold. I was slightly worried about that, but they look great.
Yes, I just cut the exhaust coupler down so that it was 1 9/16" wide. That's because the flange on the diverter is 9/16" and the flange on the heater box output is 1".
As for the leaks: there are only a couple places for the coolant to leak from in this system. If it leaked by the hose...
Relocate Deuce heater into the cab
Ok, so I am just about done with my heater install. I have a 1985 M35A2C that I put a hydro power steering system into it from an M818. On this steering system, the gearbox is on the steering column. Therefore, I needed to relocate the cab heater. My...
Thanks for your input everyone. Yes, I am working on a power steering system from an older M39 series 5-Ton truck. The steering wheels is a newer style, and the opening for the horn button measures 3.5" across. I've read other posts where I saw someone say "don't even try to push a wire down...
Last year I bought a power steering system from a vendor who said it was pulled out of an M818 tractor - to install into my 1985 M35A2C for power steering. The gear box is on the steering column, so it appears that it was originally from an M39 series of 5-Ton truck. I found a few references...
