RE: Re: RE: insurance
Also here in Michigan a tow truck operator is required to call the police if he recovers a vehicle from a ditch etc. and the vehicle has sustained any damage.
The solargizer installation manual is in the TM section:

Not exactly correct. True, they are not a "battery charger" per se, but if f you check the Solargizer web site, they are designed to desulphate AND float charge the batteries. True, they will not recharge a dead battery (at least not in any reasonable length of time) but they do provide a low...
If the engine had been rebuilt it would have a rebuild tag on the side of the engine with the location and date of the rebuild, along with data such as rod and main bearing sizes, etc. Usually at the time of a depot overhaul the speedo and tach are replaced to show zero miles and hours.
RE: Re: RE: insurance
I specifically asked if I were in a parade, rally or other rolling event and another truck broke down and needed to be towed would I be covered since was a HMV event. The answer was an emphatic NO! If it is something I own on my property I am covered, anything else I'm...
RE: Re: RE: How do you Wrecker owners insure your truck?
But the big question is, do Gulfway and Haggarty include WRECKER OPERATION liability coverage, not just VEHICLE OPERATION liability coverage? Ask your agent, I would suspect your liability coverage does not include use of either the...
Re: RE: How do you Wrecker owners insure your truck?
I'll ask him about that. As he put it, the concern was not lifting or winching something, the real concern was that if anything attached to but not a part of my truck in any way broke loose and caused damage, my liability insurance would not...
With my new M125 wrecker soon to be here, I've already started looking for insurance for it. As a little background, when I insured my Deuce my regular insurance company, Auto Owners, did not offer HMV insurance and wanted to sell me a commercial policy at some $800/year. My local State Farm...
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Engine Prelubricator
Too cold and snowy, too little time. I've got a garage going up in a month or so, then at least I'll have a place to work.
Of course, I also have a new major project to work on now...
How about a M816 in Nebraska for $8500? Looks decent enough in the pic.

BTW, I didn't see a whiffletree in your $2500 kit photo.
RE: Re: RE: nice
I have 25 acres, I think thats enough room. Probably need quite a bit of it to turn the beast though!
Will do. I'll start a new thread when it gets here, and start off with a pic of the beast parked next to the Deuce for a size comparison. BTW, did you catch the one pic on...
I had to do the same thing on my old 4 speed Camaro when the clutch blew. I couldn't get the pressure plate to release when I pushed in the clutch pedal. So at a stop I'd have to turn the engine off and shift the trans into first. Then I'd start up the engine and get the car moving, then lightly...
Re: RE: Re: RE: WTB M816 Wrecker Western Michigan area
Highpoint is going to haul it out here for me on a lowboy early next week. The price wasn't too bad and that way I'll git her home right away!
RE: nice
According to Doyle, it is powered with a Le Roi TH 844 V-8 gas engine. The trans and transfer case are non synchro so it should take a bit of practice to drive smoothly. Tires are 14:00-24, axle ratios in the 10-something to 1 range. Top speed is 42 mph!
It has 45K front and rear drag...
According to Doyle, the M125s were designed as prime movers for towed 155mm guns and 8" howitzers. Only 552 were built as the Army converted to self propelled artillery and the prime movers were no longer needed.
Dirt71 - what is the size of your garage doors? I just bought the Highpoint M125...
