Perfect! That is exactly what I want to do to mine. My truck has the hubs flipped out and the rims dished in, basically the exact opposite of your pics. I think it looks like its tip toeing or something, just not right. I have the reg M35 wheels and 43.5" firestone TA31's if that helps? Mine...
Sorry for the delay, here are the pics from my first attempt at welding in new floorpans. Learned some good things.. like only weld 1" at a time, 4lb sledge fixes warping.. anyhow, not perfect but not terrible.
Cool man, I know i heard where/where it was earlier but I'll have to look in the rally info. Sounds like a good time. Plus I can pick ya'lls brains in person, hehe.
Pics to follow.
Im in jacksonville. Man I'd love to, i just don't know if I'll be ready. James mentioned it to me earlier as well.
I'll get some pics on here tomorrow, I am starting to gather some pics of this mini-restore I'm doing but didn't really think I should start a whole new thread since there are so...
Got it all welded in looks ok (kinda FNG welder here) so I warped it a few places and had to sledge it to smooth it back out. Then learned to weld short sections at a time to counter any warping. Have it primed but still going to grind down the welds tommorow and ill put some pics up.
Next is...
I searched but couldn't find this.
Had to cut out some rusted metal floor under the drivers seat. Looks like it may be a common thing since two piece of metal are sandwiched and water probably sits there. I have the pieces still and can compare them to the sheetmetal I find. Anybody ever do...
To the OP, my truck's wheel and tire setup is identical to yours in your avatar. Are our trucks setup with the hubs already flipped out? I was wanting to keep my singles but run them dish out instead of dish in, the way ours came. Would I need to flip my hubs back in to do this, or my tires...
From what I have been looking at on the threads about hub flipping and dish in dish out. my truck looks like the hubs are already flipped to the outside and the rims are just run dish in. I'm just guessing this since I can't see any of the hub housing sticking out and the wheels look pushed away...
Had a similar deal with my door hinges and mirrors, mine were in the bed and my mirror/hinge bolts were rusted and tops were mostly busted off. Sprayed PB all over them then nailed them with a hammer to get moving a little. Then drilled one top but used a punch on the rest to bang them out. Hung...
I hear that, looked at a few and they were kinda rough.... Suprised to see how decent the ones at Jax GL were and they jumped up pretty high, but what can you say. I swapped out the batteries with some laying around and the **** thing drives all over the place, temps are good, heater works...
Update: Got the beast home today and shoved in it's spot. All my neighbors were gone, Nice!
6TL's are toast and swapped in some old Interstates I had laying around (actually used them to jump it while on the trailer) and good to go!
Truck is great! Fires right up, brakes work good, Needs...
Just brought my new (to me) deuce home today from Jax GL. Everyone was very helpful. Tim was a huge help! Had the truck running when we got there and made sure it was on the trailer safely and secured properly. Just a great guy!

Hey guys, sorry to drag out an older thread but this was exactly my question for a duece I just bought in the pic.
I'm not quite up on all my lingo but are these the rims you guys are talking about turning around and going "dish-out" with? If not these are the rims my truck has. Can I flip the...
Can't agree more about Tim. I went out there to preview some of the trucks prior to bidding and he walked out there with me (instead of riding a fatty forklift) and cranked up a bunch of trucks. This was my first auction with GL and so far so good. He explained the process and that it could take...
So here are some pics of the Deuce I won. Check out the crappy iphone pics and let me know if anything stands out that is FUBAR or a good ting. I know very little so just tell me what ya think.
Thanks
Oh man I can't wait to see this! Sounds like it should be a perfect setup. Can I ask what you are using to apply and what kind of prep you are doing? I'm just wondering if I need to do more to make it look pretty clean, not going for perfect but I don't want a slop job either.
Thanks!
