Need some parts and a U joint puller so I started work on my support vehicle's . Its a 1980 Honda CT 110. Was not running but have worked through that.
We will have two a his and hers thing. Will work out a bracket also.
As for the truck I'm having two new driveshafts made. Mine were, ? junk !
Thanks, I have been looking but have not found one yet. Their is one on Ebay but its has been hit a little. I will keep looking but seems their made out of gold. That is why I was thinking I would just extend my tank. Just fire up the saw and my TIG and bend some metal.
Thanks for the idea.
Anybody try stretching a M1078 fuel tank by cutting it and adding a section? Maybe add a tank hanger to take the weight ?
Was thinking 100 gallons would be good.
What do you think ?
I'm not up on where the Army takes air from. Is it the RED line on the front and back to run the tools, like a lug gun ? Maybe that would be a good tap ?
Thanks, will do. Did not see any thing but will give it another look.
Maybe this is my vibration ???? LOL Ya think.
Any idea what the going price should be for 2 new ends and balancing ?
Thanks,I will look around metro Phoenix. Would make thing easier.
On my front shaft their must be 1/4" upward moment. The rear is not so bad, maybe 1/16". Didn't put a gauge on it but it is way to much.
When I pushed up on the front one I went WHOA ! NOT GOOD !
Just was under my truck and checked the play. Wow, not going to be driving it until I have the shafts done. Think I found my Alt. bolt problem. LOL
Was thinking about putting them in some PVC for shipping ? Ideas ? Think they will go up to NV. for repair . Would like someone that has done it...
They have a major "cool" factor but ? That looks like $$$$ and for what ? I have done very little offroad driving but I did not think their was a shock problem.
Looking forward to the testing.
From my experience you should start the prep work for the new build. ( you have been doing that in you head )
Lots of things to work out and do better.
I have my semi/RV and still need to do the wood work to finish but the pull for the LMTV was to strong. Some day the right person will come...
Allen, it came from Michigan / Ebay . Just put in 28" x 72" RV door. Look to be going for $200+- plus shipping ,new. Think I paid $100+ for shipping. Didn't wand to go with used/take-out. Had key's and screen door also.
That is what I'm trying for.
As it gets closer we will make some plans.
Allen, are you going to do the show in March ? Thinking about taking her to it +- ? LOL
