I'v been doing some searching but lots to go through and not much luck. I have a M923, I'v only owned it since April. About two months ago my 10 year old batteries died so today I replaced the batteries. I cant get it to turn over. I 'v even slaved off my deuce so I don't drain the batteries...

I have Historical plates, but other than a parade or a once a month MV dinner I dont take them out much, or as much as I would like

Ok , today I have a new power steering pump going in with new belts. After doing some searching and reading Im still not sure of what to use for power steering fluid on my M923A1 (OE/HDO 10 ) any ideas ?? Should I use A 10 wt oil ( what kind ? ) or should I use Just plan hydraulic fluid...

My power steering pump on my M923A1 needs to be replaced, having some problems finding one. I would like new but will settle for used. Any ideas , any help is more than welcome. Thanks Rich

Wreckerman893, yes, it looks like the pump did lock up and the pully did come loose, I have a freind who's a diesel mechanic who new right away what happened :) now I'm looking for a new pump and power steering pully ( csmdavis ) is he an SS member ? if not how would I get a hold of him...

I had my M923 running for about 45 minutes as I power washed and cleaned the rear cargo cover. As I was backing down the driveway the steering wheel started to vibrate and then a few seconds after that I lost power steering. I parked , then flipped up the hood and my pully to my power steering...

Well it went well, just a few seconds with the impact then the military steering wheel puller, new wheel went on like a charm.....:grin:

Ok guys I need some help, I have a new steering wheel and a military steering wheel puller. My problem is the nut wont move at all even after a few days of penetrating oil . Any ideas, thanks Rich:?
