Used mine today to haul my '38 John Deere B and 2 flywheel engines to the antique power show. It has 6 D-rings on the floor for chains. The deuce is one of the displays for the show too. Rides real smooth with the B in there:D

Thanks for the help! That's just what I needed. I have all the TMs downloaded from the old site that pertain to my truck & backed up on a thumbdrive, just never needed the older stuff.

With the old site down, is there anywhere online to view or download TM 9-8024? I've exhausted the site search & Google. Trying to help a friend by phone find a wiring diagram for the charging system on a '58 deuce with generator & external regulator. Dont see anything but alternator wiring...

Installed a brand new radiator, hoses & thermostat, H4 headlights, and a bar buoy drink holder8) Changed oil & filters & checked tire pressure & changed belts. Took her to the shooting range today & then checked out my selectro lockout hub function for the first time.

Laquer stix work good, I've used them for filling markings on rifles. Brownells carries them, just rub it in & wipe off the excess.

Wow, quite an adventure! Reminds me of a couple times I went cross country in unproven antiques, one a school bus & one a jeep. The Jeep ended up with more snow on the inside than the outside!

I did it once & then made myself remember that the throttle handle is the one closer to the pedal, worked so far. Can't overspeed unless your going downhill but it sure is loud enough to get your attention!

I would love to get a pair of those in the $200-$250 range! I'll be ordering an H4 set up soon if I cant find LED.

I do the Roosa Master/Stanadyne rotary pumps at work & we stock most parts or get others overnight from the nearest pump shop, basically the same pump & should be readily available. We dont have the equipment to do anything but the Roosa, all others get sent out. I usually stroke the rollers...

Do whatever you want! I have Desert Storm era markings on my Deuce & it was never there, nor was I. Already out by then! If my tan truck ever turns green I'll put the markings of my Grandfathers WWII Jeep on it "45-179-1 AT-6", and my Grandmothers name was on the side "Mary Eva".

+1. 1911 sub compact in a supertuck. Spring seat, and the only thing on the floor in my cab will be whatever I may have purchased that day shopping.
