My new bow set must be a half-breed. I got regular steel corners & screwed everything together, but the steel bows have the quick detach pins. I cut the front & rear pins off the #1 & #5 bows, it looked like they would end up wearing through the cover pretty quickly, I also put some "gorilla...
You have plenty of room for improvement.
I turned mine up last year using the procedure in the LDS TM & then installed a pyro pre turbo. I can hit 1200 with WOT accellerating up a grade after awhile, but I dont need WOT anymore to maintain 55 on hills:-D ( yes, we have some pretty lumpy ground...
I'm just starting on an addition to the garage for mine & almost went with a 10' wide door, at the last minute I changed to a 12' wide, still going with 10' high.
I measured in at 9'4" tall to the rear bow center.
I replaced my springs with "LUX-HQ" foam from thefoamfactory.com, cost about $35 each for bottom & back both wrapped in Dacron. Make sure you measure well so you get a good firm fit.
My wife's a pretty harsh seat critic and she approves the new seat wrapped in JATONKA canvas.
I checked into the RV classification when I bought my M35-no go for mine.
You would probably pass with the 109 IF you went ahead & added a flushing toilet, running water with tanks, and retained the 120 volt electrical system. The book stated all these must be permanently installed. Can't just...
Welcome to the addiction!
I have State Farm for around $3.50/month with all my multi policy & no claim discounts.
By law, you need a chauffeur D2 unless its for farm use. This covers non-commercial straight truck > 16,000 but < 26,001 GVWR. A 5 ton would require a CDL-B ( >26,001 )
I know...
Glad it turned out well!
I actually called my CLEO and City clerk before bidding on my Deuce. They said no problem as long as it's registered and in working order. At this time, my city still allows semi tractors on private property, but the neighboring town wont even allow them to drive the...
Winter storage next to my shop. My town uses enough salt on the roads to rot a deuce quickly, so I just parked it for the winter.
Tarp is a heavy canvas 10X12 from Northern tool. Well worth the $75, it's had 14 inches of snow on it & never sags or tore.
Threw in some new batteries last week &...
That's cool!
The SGM that signed my Deuce out was at its Guard base in '03 & he said all their tan trucks (mine included) were painted in '03 & trucked to California for shipping. They never shipped, and were returned to Iowa in '04 according to him.
There's no advantage to double clutching a synchro transmission if its working properly, you're just putting needless cycles on parts
Shifting a synchro trans. without clutching is not a good practice. The small teeth of the synchros dont provide a good feel to the operator & those parts are...
I'm a tech at a Deere dealership, we have lots of customers with all their field operations running autosteer on an RTK signal- sub inch accuracy. They've gotten so spoiled that if the system breaks, they refuse to work until its fixed.
That poor truck!
On certain codes of pumps, (B,C, D & E I think) The heater pump is supplied by the electric pump from the suction side of the gear pump & never gets gear pump pressure.
There is a check valve in the gear pump that allows electric pump pressure to bypass the GP internally to fill the system...
