    Ultra Rare hardtop found!!!

There used to be an old CJ in town here with a plywood & plexiglass "cab". I bought a '70 CJ with the aftermarket hardtop & couldn't wait to tear it all off once I got it home.

    F-4 Phantom picture thread

My favorite! I was disappointed when I went to basic at Lackland & our squadron display plane was not the F-4:???: That was a couple buildings down. There is one on display about 20 miles west of me at a golf course. I think a local guy had piloted that same aircraft. It doen't photograph well...

    Removing Sticker on Door

Stickers are easy enough with heat. Mine was covered in chalk/grease pencil markings which were not so easily removed.

Build it and they will board

Nice work. That's nearing the top of my to-do list for mine.

    locking a deuce cab

This is from kaffenbarger truck, about $8. Takes a little work to make them fit just right.

2 month old split axle boots

I installed a pair of yellow silicone boots last month, seem really durable & were easy to keep in place while tightening. Bought mine from Eriks.

Lockouts on the deuce. Wow big diff.

I have a pair of Selectros on backorder, should be here in a couple weeks hopefully. Everyone who keeps them in stock is $100-$200 higher than the rest. I'm not too worried about milage, but would like to cut down on tire wear, & there's no need to have all that stuff turning up front when I...

    IP Gasket Kit

Yes, those are in the same city as Clark, probably them but the shipping is half the website price. Wish I would have seen that before I ordered:evil:

    IP Gasket Kit

I ordered one of these from Clark, received 2 days later. Dated 1990, complete & original packaging. Looks like I would expect from sitting around all those years, some dirt and slight indication of moisture in the package at some time. all parts look usable, O-rings look good. Considering most...

    CHOCK those tires!!

I chock everywhere I park. My parking brake works pefectly, but I always hate that 4 seconds between when I jump out to when I get the chock in on my inclined driveway. I just know that's when my brake cable will snap someday.

    Lugs OVERTIGHTENED

I torque everything. Unfortunately, the large truck thinking is probably where his shop failed. Most truck/ tire shops I've been in routinely stall out their 1" impact when installing big truck wheels & then they're done. Usually way too tight and not uniform. I just finished brakes & bearings...

    Corn head grease in winch

Deere #AN102562, good stuff. Deere corn head gearcases have 11 gears, 8 bearings & 6 plain bushings in them & the grease never fails them unless someone fails to grease them.

How are you storing your Deuces? (Plural)

Wont need to bother with my tarp pictured in my previous post this winter. Just added a 13X27' onto my existing shed, 13 wide gives just enough room to get the duals off both sides. Just need to put up the 12'wide x10' tall door & cut an opening through between the buildings now. Put down a 5...

    Topeka MVPA Convention photos

Wow, what a great show! I saw that at John Deere Expo a few years back. It's a reproduction of a prototype armored John Deere, one of two types submitted during WW2. Both were total failures in testing & not accepted. It was definately cool to see them both putting around the show grounds.

Spotted a nice gasser in a museum

Yes, it's the same place. Hays is on one side & Heidrick ag history center on the other seperated by a courtyard but also connected by two hallways.

Yes, and a few other nice ones!

Spotted a nice gasser in a museum

Yes. It's singled in the rear & has really high sides on the bed, but not cut- out above the wheels like an M34. Never seen a bed like it.

Spotted a nice gasser in a museum

Saw this '53 Gasser W/W at Heidrick Ag museum in Woodland, CA Saturday, along with several other nice MV's. & lots of Ag tractors. Great museum to check out if you're ever in the area. Now I need to get a searchlight for my Deuce too ;) And a WW1 Holt armored tractor

Is there "suppose" to be water in my M101A2 cover?

I've seen some deuce covers fill up with water at the corner reinforcements like that.
