I bought mine from the manufacture out of Rhode Island (FARIA) and got the pickup (tach drive )off a hmmwv motor.. the kit came with everything for about 175 bucks

Since I origially posted this question I have developed a hybreed I install the window guts, left the plate and use a 3/8 cordless drill... hillbilly engineering my buttock lol.. I need to find a motor for it one of these days. but now I have A/C almost done so..

I dumped Nv4500 in mine, I do 70mph No problema, I know the motor isnt screaming at me the calc. with 4500 and 305-85 says I am somewhere around 2300 rpm
I did that 700r4 swap in my 1009, I drive it in 3rd and od the highway. at 65mph I am pulling 1500rpm would love to swap out 3.08 to 3.73 get it around 2000rpm...
Cappy, I used the flex tube and 45 off a duece and half, it was the same size ect.. it layout was easy . FYI there was company in ky was selling complet diamond exhaust system TUrbo back for 6.5 for 400
Have you swaped out for electric fuel pump yet ... abandon all hope with the mech. if you are running crap ... sound like you notget enough fuel until the the IP pump sucks it though at the higher RPMs
Dave Iam sorry I don't text.. It is gateway to metro-sexualism,and before I know it I am useing product in my hair, wearing flip flop to church asking my friends if my ass is too big..lol..... it a slippery slope I avoid..
If you do drop four speed in? consider changing the rears out.. my 1009 pull 1700 rpm @ 65-70 it need to be around 2200 at that speed.. I am swaping my 3.08 for 3.73 12 bolt setup hopfully I get better milage out of it..
