Zuke I dumped Nv4500 in mine, I do 70mph No problema, I know the motor isnt screaming at me the calc. with 4500 and 305-85 says I am somewhere around 2300 rpm

I did that 700r4 swap in my 1009, I drive it in 3rd and od the highway. at 65mph I am pulling 1500rpm would love to swap out 3.08 to 3.73 get it around 2000rpm...

Have you swaped out for electric fuel pump yet ... abandon all hope with the mech. if you are running crap ... sound like you notget enough fuel until the the IP pump sucks it though at the higher RPMs

If you do drop four speed in? consider changing the rears out.. my 1009 pull 1700 rpm @ 65-70 it need to be around 2200 at that speed.. I am swaping my 3.08 for 3.73 12 bolt setup hopfully I get better milage out of it..

Anyone know if the prerch, or focrum thingy, that the throw out fork is ment to be adjustable? I have my slave cylinder cobbled up at the moment.
