Hello guys,
Some days ago I was in the yard again.
They do have M108 (pic3),M60 (pic1) and an Deuce with bomb service boom like cckw (pic2).All they still have the gas engine...
Which one is the rarest of three as a keeper ?
Thank you,
Jim
Hello guys,
Are there any difference if the brake housing cover is mounted horizontal or vertical ?Are any other difference(s) between early and late units ?
Thank you,
Jim
Thanks for the good info!
Yes I mean the clutch housing (that I will try to remove) and the clutch lever is bent...
I will see from the plugs if there is rust inside...
Thank you,
Jim
Hello guys,
I am trying to remove the LH case from my winch but no luck...
I read the TM 9-2320-209-34-2-3 and there is nothing special to remove the case.
In the winch the drag brake handle was bent and is almost touching the upper cover...Also it moves a little...
Any ideas ?
Thank you,
jim
Yes it is a runner...
We have done the very basics to it :
Clean air filter
Drain and clean fuel tanks
Add coolant as required
Check oil level
Engine work nice w/o any noise and all gears are working too.Same goes for the brakes.

As for spare parts I was unable to find ANY here...
I pulll the trigget and bought one...
The first after close inspection has rusted brake , all around serious dents it the alloy covers ,bent lower brace (threaded) and most importanly was out of oil for time and inside was rusty...I return it to the yard and I take another (no more returns...
Thank you all for your help guys !
No problem if I can help please let me know...
It missing the drag brake handle along with the shaft (blue in the picture)...
I remove one today improperly by tap it with a hammer...It come out but seems a pin was broke...I think that it will not be an ****...
Hello guys,
I found a nice 20k Garwood winch for sale.
BUT it missing the drag brake handle and shaft...
TM shows that you have to tear down the side of the winch to remove two plugs/pins to be able to remove the shaft. This surely is not done here as winch was still mounted...Can I just put...
I am amazed from you skills !!! The installation of the front winch is way more nice than my factory Werner F64 on my 406 ! I plan to put an rear winch in my mog too and Garwood is my plan...20k if from a 5ton correct ? Is there model differences I have to look for ?
Thank you,
Jim
Many years ago we use one in the army.We put over 17 tons on it as we have to go back and forth twice if we load it within limits:???: Altough nothing happens...
