I understand the turbo only adds about 5hp. It was used primarily to clean up the exhaust. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I have 1 W/turbo, 1 W/O turbo. Can't tell any difference except the cloud I leave behind.2cents

YOU are your chief mechanic. roadside fixes are common. Don't let it spook you. take your time , study the TMs and have at it. There's always someone HERE if you get stuck and need an answer. I don't know what I'd do without this forum.[thumbzup]

Yes get the seals also. Gear oil may also migrate to the brake shoes - not good either

FIXED !! Ran out of luck using the draft of the IP. When I checked the pump originally I had taken the internal fuel line loose. Didn't get it tight enough and vibrated loose. Left me and the wife stranded 25mi from home. took a day off work and drove to Clarks Truck Parts.relatively expensive...

My deuce had been ran for several years with nothing but WHO by the previous owner. It did however run better when I topped off the tank with 30 gal of fresh diesel.

I have received access to aproximately 500 gallons of new motor oil of different viscosities. 15wt to 50wt. No it's not hot. Oil became disposable due to a brand change in a large backup generator. Knowing the oil is not contaminated, would it be safe to pump straight into my deuce tank??

OK, I checked everything out including pulling the pump. Funny, the pump will run upside down. Rattles like crazy upside down. It's trash. found new replacement for $151. Order it payday.:-D
