As a diesel mechanic I am always looking for ways to improve the way our trucks run. After I sold Stevepala a Cummins big cam 400 Last year. Steve told me about the benefits of a Fuel, Air, Separation, System. I did some homework and came up with some design flaws in The Cummins 250 fuel system...
Hey Steve I am doing my Cummins 290/350 before the Sussex show. I would like to come see you and take some measurements. I will be in Conn. on Monday. Give you a call later today.
I do a lot of driving in my 5 tons. I had a few different ones. I cruise a 1900 Rpm/55 Mph -/+ on the highway and drive around in fourth gear around town. I always use caution and adjust my speed to the driving situation. I have even driven my M813 with 1600's in Boston traffic. If you are going...
The 18 ply NATO tread tires really ride nice. The M915a1 really needs bigger tires to run right, the truck shifts, brakes and rides better with the 1400/20 tires. I didn't have to move any of the mudflaps and there is no rubbing issues in the front either. Now to put the cut down 5 ton bed on...
I sold a Big Cam 400 to a SS in Conn. He put it in his M929 dump truck with a few modifications. His buddy at Kenworth looked up the info. on the Allison transmission in his truck and found that it will handle up to 500HP. I am will be putting a Cummins Big Cam 290 in my M923 in March.

I was going to use my green M923 but I sold that to some friends and bought a really nice sand colored M923. I am meeting with a group that is pledging to help raise money for the Armor in a few weeks. I hope to have more progress soon.
Welcome to the club Alex. There are a bunch of M939 series trucks here on the Cape. I have been talking to some of the other guys about starting a Cape club. I have 5 acres here in Falmouth. But, more important and on subject. It is important that fully read this thread. There is lots of helpful...
He didn't say, but this thread is posted in the deuce section. Just won't want to see M939 series owners damage their trucks. I came across it in today's posts section.
Tie6044 are you recommending to shut the main or top switch off?! If so that would disconnect the batteries from the electrical system, which will leave the rest of the electrical system open to spikes in power. That is the main cause of ABS system burnouts.
