wires on steering gearbox
I was doing a walkaround my truck today to see how it was doing during its winter hibernation and I noticed that the front driver's side leaf spring had a fair amount of oil on it. I was able to trace the leak the the steering gearbox so I think that I just have to...
Has anyone ever changed out the original tires on their m105a2 with the 14.5R20s? I would like to have the trailer tires match the ones on my m35a3. I am just a little worried that the extra width of the 14.5R20 tires will be too wide for the trailer and will hang out far beyond the wheel wells...
Mine has also had this problem for a long time and I haven't been able to find a solution yet either. I have an idea that mine might be because of the priority valve leaking. That is explained here ...
The one on my truck leaks around the top where you said there was no gasket so about a year ago I put some Ultra black silicon sealer and that didn't help at all! Now I think that I will just order a new one in the hopes that it will be the solution to my low air buzzer alarm always buzzing when...
My truck had a hose that looked just like that when I bought it. I looked for a week to find the correct hose to replace it and found this TD7 Neoprene Coated Duct Hose but it is very spendy like $115 for 25 feet and I called the company and they would not send any length of hose less than 25...
Another thing that I have noticed on my truck is that the valve vent on my rear axle leaks air whenever the CTIS begins to inflate. I think that the quad seals are probably to blame. Would this also be the cause of the flat tires that I get on the same rear axle of the truck?
How would I be able to tell if the steering assist regulator valve on my a3 is bad? I can't seem to find and type of air leaks in any of the steering components or hoses so I am beginning to think that it has to be something like the regulator causing my low air buzzer to sound when I make turns.
The answer for question one is no it does not matter what direction you rotate them just as long as you always remember to close them after you are done draining the tanks.
As for question two I do not know but I am sure someone on the site will know.
poll? Mine is connected and I left it that way for two reasons 1. it works good with very few problems 2. I have a slow leak in several tires and I would never feel like taking an air hose to air them up
Would love to get two of them but does anyone have an idea about how much it would cost to ship 2 tires 1700 miles?
Edit* fedex gave me a quote of $1300 for shipping
Special thanks to everyone who gave me the information on changing an a3 tire. Fixed one today and it went smoothly and had no leaks so now I think that I am out of dumb questions to ask on the subject.
Thanks SS members
Thanks to the help from many SS memers and eriks military surplus I was able to take apart one of the tires on my a3 and as of right now it is holding air!
Under the dash of your truck you will be able to see what is shown in the picture. I had this problem too but mine was an easy solution. Hook the wire with red dot in the picture shown below to the pressure sensor with a red dot and it should work. (P.S. the air vent tube hooked up to the heater...
What do you guys recommend is the best way to get the beadlock out of the tire? Does it work best to just try and pry it out? I know that to put it back in requires a ratchet strap but I don't know how remove it properly.
