    2012 vin info thread

Hi Carnac, in the 2011 vin info thread you answered a vin question on my m35a3 and found out that it was rebuilt in 1998 but is there any way of telling the exact year the m35a2 part of the truck was built? I have tried to decipher the vin myself and I think I have it narrowed down between 1972...

Has anyone ever tried Slime tubeless tire sealant in there a3's I used it in three of my tires that would go flat in under one day and now 2/3 of them hold air for more than 3 weeks and one still goes flat in about 2 days now.

Does anyone else have the problem on their a3 about the low air buzzer turning on whenever you make a turn? I recently hooked it up because it wasn't before and now I think I know why. When I turn the steering wheel the air gauge always jumps up and down then the buzzer sounds to tell me that I...

    Determine rebuild date

While we are on the topic I was wondering if there is a way to tell when the m35a2 part of the truck was built in order to get it registered as historic. I know that it was rebuilt in 1998 (THANKS CARNAC) but I would like to figure out when it was built in the first place.

how to change CTIS pressure adjustment

Does anyone know how to adjust the air pressure that the CTIS puts in the tires on an m923a2? The tires air up to 70psi but with a tank of water on it the tires get pretty flat so I am wondering if anyone knows how to adjust it to 90psi instead of 70.

    Jerry can project

I rubbed down the spout with sandpaper and washed it off with gasoline and sprayed it a medium gloss black. the tank itself I just rubbed down with sandpaper and primed it with white rustoleum and the finished color was a nature green.

    Jerry can project

The inside is in great shape probably because there was still a little fuel in it so rust didn't effect it. If I ever came across any POR 15 I would like to coat the inside just to be sure that it never will rust though.

    Jerry can project

The other day I went to a garage sale and came across a great buy on an old USMC jerry can. It was only a buck so I thought that even if it leaked it would only be out a dollar so, I bought and tested it and sure enough it didn't leak. So here are pictures of me painting it from start to finish.

    m931a2 compressor won't build air

The other day I went for a ride in my m931a2 and about two miles into my trip I noticed that I wasn't building air pressure any more so I decided to turn around and go home but just not use any brakes on the way to conserve air in the tanks. When I got home again my tanks were both at about 55...

    M35A3 Owners unite

I have posted this in another thread, but I haven't found a good way to fix it yet. The problem is that by the air line that hooks up to my front axle switch leaks a lot of air. I tightened up the brass piece but now the air leaks from between the hose and the brass fitting. Does anyone have an...

    tires or CTIS leaking?

That reminds me, the wheels on half the truck are backwards so when I put everything back together could I turn it around so it is facing the right direction?

    tires or CTIS leaking?

Ok, I finally found it. It was located in the hole between the pipe and the rim. How much work is it to repair the leak. I need to unhook CTIS, remove wheel, seperate wheel and rim, switch o-ring, reassemble wheel and rim, put wheel back on, hook up CTIS. did I miss anything?
