US shift makes a universal controller for GM trannies for about 500 bucks.
I looked on their web site. Seams pretty straight forward install and set up. The question is has anybody used it for their Humvee and what was the results.

He did state the he disconnected and reconnected in different order. I was thinking the same thing. But from experience. Fist keyed ignition installed didn't last a month.

True and my guess it's something else and is easy fix but did have it happen on my CUCV when the front end was rebuilt.

No vin number would be the serial number. The registration number was part of how the Army tracked the vehicle through the property book.
