I'm not sure exactly what the problem is either, I operate 5 multifuel trucks and have never had that problem with my trucks or my filter kits. The gasket i'm working on getting is similar to the one you tried I believe and is wider to reduce that risk of the seal moving. The seals are the...
Alot of times what happons is when people tighten the cannister it spins and can move the seal. This is the first time out of 50 sets that anyone has had a problem. I'm actually working on finding an even wider gasket to eliminate the possiblity of this happoning. I'm sorry that happoned to...
Ahh yes, fond memories of Camp Dodge and 63B school. Sgt Birkenholtz is a heck of a nice guy, i've worked with him several times. All the guys there are great to deal with.
The guys are right, as long as you use a good respirator and good ventilation you should be ok. Also wear gloves and long sleeve shirt. My my maint. shop, we went down the carc before sanding it as an extra measure of dust control. If you need any CARC I still have about 6 gallons of it on...
I have a brand new brake light pressure switch that I would be willing to part with, that might be your problem. The other culpret would be low brake fluid or air in the system that would reduce the pressure, but i'm sure it is the brake pressure sensor. PM me if you are interested.
Why can't anyone sell armor here in SD for $1,000????? You better jump on that, i'm sure that the scrap price is even more than that, but it looks in great shape. If it wouldn't cost an arm, leg, and my first born, I would pay the grand and ship here here.
Not too sure on that one. I know the sprag automatically engages itself, but maybe in the gearing it will only work in low gears such as low reverse and low forward?
If you get me a NAPA number, I can cross it to Baldwin which I sell. I also have about 8 brand new in the wrapper periscope covers with springs for the M113 if you are interested in them.
Probably a gallon of green, and a half gallon of black and brown. A deuce typically takes 4 gallons. I have fresh military CARC paint in stock right now, so if you need some PM me and I will get it headed your way.
Since we are on the subject of turbos, I have a D turbo that has started leaking on the exhaust side. I know the intake side means runaway. Is there anybody who rebuilds turbos or has anybody ever fixed the seals themselves?
Might have to take you up on that. I'm going to bid on the next sale and I will be back to camp dodge for recovery school this summer, would love to meet another Steel Soldiers member. I just finished my 63B training there and know a few of the guys there. Really great training site.
Mainly a good respirator, gloves, and common sense. It is no different than automotive paint as far as the hazards involved. Commercial Urathane paints are just as deadly. Just spray it somewhere with good ventilation and not near a source of flame. Some of the guys who have more experience...
