I got 2 of the wreckers at dodge, I think they look pretty complete. If you need the boomjack plates, I might have a source on a set, let me know when you are going to retrieve them. I might be driving both of mine back with another NG friend or I might haul them, not sure yet.
Neil is a great guy and i'm happy to have him as a friend. Things like what Neil did are part of the reason why I love this site so much. It really is just like one big family.
I have a couple of nice trucks that I have rebuilt and am looking to sell if you are interested. I am a full time NG Mechanic and this is what I do for a living. My trucks are reworked and I have the pics to prove it also. I have several options and I know I could sell you a truck and get it...
As a SEE Mechanic, I will confirm that they suck to work on. You need midget hands to be able to work on it and the truck is practically formed around the operator. The cab is very tight. They were designed to be able to dig and keep up with the convoy, that's why they were used. Only...
I too was forced out of my community because my MV hobby was just too different. I am a full time NG Technician and I use my MVs to haul the veterans through the local parades. They still used the junk and abandoned vehicle policy against me. I even started and drove the trucks to prove they...
I think I have a NOS slave cover at home, i'll check this weekend and let you know for sure. PM me if you are interested. It would be the single pin design.
My filter kits come with the correct gaskets included. I'm not sure about the carquest filters though. If the existing gasket is not cracked, hard, or deeply imprinted from the cannister you should be alright. I reuse some gaskets if they look good. I usually flip them over so the side that...
Sweet looking track, I have been servicing 113s at work for the past week and they are definately fun to work on and very labor intensive, lol. Does anyone know of any 113s that are in any salvage yards running or not? I know the M75s are around, but I would love to get either an M75 or an M113.
The cans usually have about 10 months on them till they expire, but in all honesty when they are sealed and you don't open them, they should be alright for a few years. I was pretty shocked myself. They just said the new TACOM approved stuff has lower VOC's in it and that was pretty much the...
Talked to Sherwin Williams today and they informed me that our beloved single component CARC has been replaced by the new TACOM Spec CARC. As I understand it, it's mostly the same only lower VOC's and more environmentally friendly. The existing stock is going to start drying up and once it's...
Wreckerman is right, when I was stationed at FLW the flamethrower APC was on display outside the Engineer Museum. They have plexi on the back door so you can look inside. It basically had the tanks where the soldiers would sit. There was barely enough room to get through the back door and...
I still have a few filter kits with all correct gaskets for sale if anyone needs some. Only one I don't have is the small cannister top bolt gaskets. No matter which ones you use always let it run and check on it every few minutes to check for leaks, even our brand new HEMTT trucks leak from...
Sounds good, thanks for keeping us in the loop. Question, some people have mentioned there is a top plate that goes on the top of the back of the cab. Has anyone ever seen a plate for the top of the cab back that is part of a reinforcement kit?
He is correct. I sent you a pm with the recommended ones and I forgot to mention MAK. Sherwin Williams recommends that you don't use acetone because it evaporates too fast that is why they like MAK, MIBK, and MEK to use as thinners.
