Mine has those same plates as yours. Funny, mine had the older style contact maintenance body on it when I bought it, not the shelter carrier.

I usually put make: Chevrolet and Model: D30. Our state has no idea what a M1008 is.

Every truck is an adventure. This particular truck had every bolt tack welded on the top. In order to reuse the bolts the bed had to be pretty much lifted straight up. Boy I love my forklift!

Check for rust, rockers, floors, cab corners, supports, frame, fuel tank hangers, fuel tank, glow plug system operates correctly, driveshaft, alternators charging ( the lights shouldn't be on after it warms up), smoke, check for cracked tranny case especially if it has a bent d/s, test drive...

for rusted bolts as an alternative to the "hot wrench" I use a 4 inch grinder with the thin cut-off blade, cut the nut at an angle, you can get to all of them one way or another, works like a charm

8 bolts, bumper can stay on. vent for axle, fuel filter screws, lights. Lift in stages with 4x4s and blocking. Have done quite a few but helps to have a forklift lol Take your time and be safe.
