Won 2 more from Ft Meade. Very odd event...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking when I saw that one bare A3 get bid up to $500, then $700, when there were identical looking units going for $200, then $400. I kept going through the pics wondering what I wasn't seeing, but I guess it was just a bidding war. I have my lot numbers on a...

Won 2 more from Ft Meade. Very odd event...

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. I'm trying to figure out how I can recover all 4 that I'm waiting on with one tow vehicle because of fuel costs.

Won 2 more from Ft Meade. Very odd event...

I won 2 M101's today from Ft Meade. I was very casual about it and expected to be outbid, but I wasn't. I won 2 M116A3's last week, too. I'm going to have to sell a few of these just to pay the credit card bill... I need to delete that credit card on file with GL, it's digging me into a...

    Recovered 2 trailers today

I just had a conversation with a GL rep about this yesterday. Specifically, about bows and tarps in the picture... Their position is that everything in the photos is not necessarily part of the auction unless it's specifically outlined in the description, or you inspected prior to bidding and...

    Lunette to ball

The Croft adapter looks functional, but I have the same problem you have with height adjustment. It's a bumper ball on my pickup, so I can't adjust the height. It does sound like it wouldn't be profitable for you to make them. That's a bummer, looks like fine work.

    Lunette to ball

Asgar, that adapter is awesome! I right now have the pintle hitch that works fine for a truck with a 2" receiver, but another truck I'd like to use for my M101 just has a 2" bumper-mounted ball. I'd love to have a bolt-on adapter like that for quick dump runs or light bulky loads. Heck, even...

    M101a2 measurement question

Just to update, recovery went great. I borrowed/rented Randy's 18' trailer and GL loaded it nice and gently. I walked them off the trailer by hand and at the end of the day, smiled at having no damage, no injuries, and no bail needing to be posted... [thumbzup][thumbzup]

    2 M101's at Ft. Meade

Cool, looks like friday is M101 day at ft. meade, my pickup is around 10a. I'll be in a grey/silver Dodge dually pickup with a couple numbers on the door. Sorry fellas, I don't have any extras just yet... I'm selling my A1, and one of these A2's I just won is going to my brother in law.

    M101a2 measurement question

Finding a rental trailer is turning out to be a little more difficult than I expected... It looks like Uhaul is going to be my best bet. Any forum members in the Chester County PA area have a trailer I could rent for this?

    M101a2 measurement question

I'd love to, it'll save me a couple bucks and a lot of logistics to do that. But I already talked to the site manager about it, he will not flip one for me. If I flip it, he'll lift it onto the other one, but I'm not confident in my ability to flip it alone safely. I have a winch on the...

    2 M101's at Ft. Meade

I'm prepping to go pick up 2 M101's this friday, but figured I'd see if anyone were making the trip and had room for these puppies... I need to bring them from Ft Meade, MD, to Morgantown, PA. About 20 minutes north west of Exton. If no one can make this trip, I'llbe making it, so I can...

    M101a2 measurement question

I need to pick up 2 M101's about 2 hours and change from my house friday. Anyone have an idea how long these units end up being when they're loaded as tightly as possible? I'm trying to figure out what length trailer to rent. I plan to have the first one backed on, landing gear up with the...

Recovery of 2 M101A2's with 1 Dodge pickup.

I'm not planning too, but I'm just wondering how the previous guys have done it. I'm thinking maybe how it was connected was part of the stability problem with it.

Recovery of 2 M101A2's with 1 Dodge pickup.

Thanks, I'll search it down. I'm probably doing the recovery alone at this point. edit: found it, I don't think I'll try that while flying solo... I forgot to ask, how can these trailers be piggybacked/doubled? I have an M101A1 now and don't see anyway to put a pintle on the rear of it that...

Recovery of 2 M101A2's with 1 Dodge pickup.

I just won 2 M101's from Ft. Meade last week. It's a 100 mile/2.5 hour trip for me. Anyone have any success getting a hand at this base flipping and stacking them? I'd like to avoid renting another trailer to put them on...

Won an M101A1 from New Castle, DE this weekend.

Randy, I'm right around the corner from you, I was looking at houses in Coatesville before I moved in here! Thanks for the welcome's, all. :-D

Won an M101A1 from New Castle, DE this weekend.

The vibe I got was that the site is so low volume, it has no GL staff, so he handles any sales that do happen there.8)

Won an M101A1 from New Castle, DE this weekend.

By the way, Justin from Ft. Meade helped me load out at New Castle. Great guy, good conversation and helped me hook the trailer up by hand. [thumbzup][thumbzup]

Won an M101A1 from New Castle, DE this weekend.

Well, my EUC cleared in a little over a month and a half. Recovery went smooth and easy, and I now have an M101 in my driveway. This thing is awesome. I had no idea it would be so easy to tow, it was much better than my bigger civvy flatbed trailer. I have to resist the urge to buy another one...
