I have had stock 1100's, 1400's and 1600's on my truck. 1100 are stable, cheap and slow! 1400 are smooth riding, harder to find in good condition and give a good highway speed. 1600's look cool, can be found at fair prices, but ride like crap and suck the power. You can get more highway speed...
our shop is very experienced with picking up vehicles from military bases. It helps that my partner and I are ex-military. we flat bed all trucks being picked up. It is the best way to do it. No one likes to play Russian roulette with a 20.000+lb vehicle. we have seen all kinds of scary stuff...
Hey Mcgregor you should try to find a LDS. I just finished some work on a customers M35A2 with a LDS in it. I took it for a test drive and what a difference over the LDT. With a LDS you can power 1100 easy. My buddy in Conn. has his truck set up this way.
Sorry to hear about your baby. A&H Recon. Shop is here to help. Like I said on the phone, this would be a good time for a DT466 upgrade. We can find you a multifeul ldt or lds too!

If anyone is...
The mad rush has begun. I did have time to swap out my Cummins 250 for the 290, but I am changing the injector pump and doing some body work before the show. Bring new 1400-20's, MRAP rims, 8 lug 12 bolt HMMWV rims, APC interior dome lights, misc. M54 parts and some other goodies!
The wrecker got scraped. All I managed to save was the winches. Another fallen soldier! The good news is that I am saving two others MVs from the same fate.
