I love my M813 w/w I drive it everywhere. If it is well maintained it stops and goes just like a Deuce. I know I drive both types frequently! I drive mine in Downtown Boston with 53" Michelin's on it from time to time. Every vehicle has it's pros and cons. My favorite is a M35 with a LDS...
No wonder it blew. That means it was driven at 580 mph for ten hours :) looks like a bad rebuild. It is amazing how much a piston will expand. If the clearance is to tight then it will lock right up !
I have a bunch of rim studs, different sizes too. Always wire wheel the threads on the wheel studs to prevent them from binding up a breaking a stud during install or removal. Anti-seize is always helpful too!
I have had a few truck come in with this issue. One had a non functional regulator that was supplying to much pressure to the system. This extra air pressure can blow out the poppet valves. The reason I asked about oil in the air system is because if the air compressor is going it will pump oil...
Patracy hit it on the head! But what cause the valves to blow? What is you air pressure gauge ready. It should not go over 90 PSI. Are you getting any oil out of your air drain?
Hey, Justin. Nice looking truck! I have a engine for you. I have a Cummins 250 that is in my truck right now or a Cummins 400. Give me a call Matt 617-650-2108.
KingPepsi let me know if you need any parts. I know were there are some Cummins 855 motors too. I maybe taking out a low mile Cummins 250 soon too. Welcome to the group.
Minor rust is not an issue as long as things are lubricated. Check the bores out with a scope. Then dump fresh 10w30 in all the cylinders. Take the valve covers off and clean as much as possible. I don't think disassemble is needed! Unless it is real rusty, you will be opening a can of worms...
You are asking a lot of those stock rims. 1600's are big and heavy! The 18 ply side walls are not going to make it easy on you mounting the tires and you could seriously injure yourself trying! I have some MRAP rims that are perfect for mounting 1600's on a Duece. Pm me and I will make you a...
In my original post I warn, about giving to much info. I am not saying to lie! most insurance companies want to fit everything into groups. Our trucks don't fit! I had a A-hole look up a picture online of my truck. OH that is Commercial! Just give them the facts. Maybe you should say " you own a...
I have found that the original horn button set up in the column is a PITA. They either don't work or they come on when you don't want it. I had bought all new parts for mine and just ended up putting a button on the dash. Works great! Good luck with yours.
