The HEMTT is on the way!

Once the crane was up in working order it was time to start the work for which the M977 was purchased in the first place, the disassembly of some older log buildings on the property, so they can be rebuilt properly and stand for another few hundred years. The first one was an older hay barn...

The HEMTT is on the way!

When first playing with the crane to get a hang of it, I discovered a bulged line which quickly became a leaking line :-x We bartered part of the steel to get the hydraulic line made up, funny enough, the scrap yard also makes very nice lines, something to keep in mind in the future...

The HEMTT is on the way!

First load of steel heading over to the scrap yard below. Took a good bit of work with a gas powered cut off saw to deal with some of the frame pieces, but the truck did well loading up, the drop sides are wonderful for access, but aren't made of the strong stuff, clearly loads should be...

The HEMTT is on the way!

Well, the HEMTT arrived safe and sound, and after a good bit of tire inflating in the parking lot where we dropped it, and going through it in detail it was ready to head off. The truck driver who made the delivery had driven these and HETS in the sandboxes and had a very good knowledge of the...

The HEMTT is on the way!

Well, after the 7 week or so wait on the EUC to clear, and a few weeks to arrange transport, the M977 is on it's way north from Texas. Scheduled to arrive on Friday morning. They had issues getting it jumped this morning on the load out, and after the 10 weeks or so, two tires were low. The...

    HEMTT Fluid/Filters

Well, the HEMTT will be shipping shortly, so I'm getting a jump on the PM, 10 gallons of SAE 40 from Tractor Supply for the Detroit, 10 gallons of TES-295 Fluid off the web, and new batteries should get me started. The filters are throwing me for a loop though, seems the canister style filters...

GP EUC Dates When you sent it and Dates it went through each step. Set Expectations.

Probably best to add funds transfer dates etc to ensure that the delay in sending to TSC is understood by everyone, also EUC submission date would be useful, also have you been through the process before, here's mine: EUC Before - Yes Auction Date - 6/17/2015 EUC Filled in Date - 6/17/2015 Fund...

Shipping Rates for HEMTT per Loaded Mile

No sense in risking the drive, I budgeted the shipping at $3k when bidding, the risk, of moving one that far far exceeds my budget. One big thing breaks, and I've got far more out of pocket expenses to deal with! Thanks for the feedback guys!

Shipping Rates for HEMTT per Loaded Mile

Getting quotes in the $2.60 range, does that seem fair these days?

Mike, to clarify, are the wheels locked up, or is power not transmitted through them to the ground?

    Issues with SF-97

Jwade, interesting, perhaps there are some dedicated employees there at TSC working on Sunday! Also, I can't seem to get a human at govplanet to return my call regarding the address for pickup and the schedule. I'll keep trying, and leaving messages.

    Issues with SF-97

That a good question! I'm betting this isn't the most automated system in the world. Not 100% sure here, but I bet the approval process is a paper one, and that the forms are mailed back from Battlecreek to GP, and they are then manually processed at GP. If so, that could explain the processing...

    Issues with SF-97

Well, some good news. Mine showed up as approved at 8:41PM tonight. Someone must be burning the midnight oil. Jwade, if you had a hand in moving along, I'm very thankful. Need it to do some work over the Labor Day weekend, and it should arrive in time now.

    Issues with SF-97

8 weeks at TSC now. I've seen a number of approvals for later TSC submitted dates. I've been through the EUC process many times before. What gives?
