Well, I had to sell both of my Deuce's only keeping the 5-ton. One went north to Michigan, and the other just left at 1:50 AM headed to South Dakota.
I'm sure they will serve their new owners well, but it was sad to see the M109 head away for the last time.
Ok, I think this ok to post, as it fits the unusual type vehicle for auction. I also don't think any of us are going to be bidding on it given it's size etc.

This might be the most amazing MV I've ever seen.
It's a gremlin that is trembling of course. It's having withdraws. ;)
Just came to say I want an FMTV, I want one right now. Although I'm sure the day I get one, it will cost me an arm and a leg to keep it moving compared to my M814.
So my wife and I are moving down to VA, near Lovettsville, and the M814 will be making the trip down with us.
I've been going through all the standard after winter PMs, greasing the chassis, changing the oil, flush the radiator fluid etc, but I'm wondering what else I might ought to consider...
I would buy one, we own two of their civilian type vehicles, a Rio, and a Sorento, both have well north of 60k on them, and have never been to the shop for a repair, only standard PMs.
So this weekend was break out the trucks from winter hibernation. Thursday night after getting back from a business trip I decided that one of them, my M35A2 cargo truck (currently for sale) needed to be taken into work for the Friday car show. Went through everything I could think of Thursday...
Ok, I've read through the forums here, and have been unable to locate any type of service manual for the IFA W-50 truck.
There's a very good chance I'm going to end up with one of these, and I want to make sure I have a fair understanding of how the knobs etc work.
Anybody highly...
Thanks for the pictures and the service, glad to see them over there doing there job!
Two of my brother-in-laws have spent time over there, one was in Balad as well and was door gunner in a blackhawk. The other did patrols in a hummer, not sure where exactly. He had a few videos of running...
I believe M38 nailed it, most electronics, battery chargers especially will have issues taking a higher freq. waveform. You could consult the mfg, and I'm sure you could build a battery charger from scratch, after all the basics aren't too complex, take an AC source, use a transformer to get the...
I would say Stalwart, a nice wwII era tanks sells for what, say at least $250K?
What amazed me is that the FMTV went for only $25k or so less than the HEMTT you bought, which might have well been the deal of the century!
PCtrans, that's a sweet setup, you spliced a 800 series and a HEMMT rear end??
I think the FMTV went high due to the uniqueness of it, how many of these are out there in civilian use?
