I think you missed the point of the thread.... There are hundreds of threads on here of people who got really good deals at government auction, but the bad rarely gets posted because who wants to brag about bidding too high on junk.
This thread was just pointing out that it isn't always a...
No such luck... anything over 8500 here has to have commercial plates... We don't have any problems with the DMV, so I don't mind paying the fee... They don't even blink at an SF97... Pay your money and you are out the door plates in hand in 10 minutes.
You might be able to buy a boom for a m108 right now on a certain auction site and plop it on a deuce and have one for less than 5-6 k.... running.
I still don't believe you about the girl... I think it was warm out that day, you were thirsty and hallucinating.
Do you know what base they came from? I am guessing there were a DRMO acquisition? Do they really require you turn them back in if the dept decides they don't need them any more?
And can I be a deputy?
My Wife and I did the same thing... Official wedding in May of 2003 and then the ceremony for the family in July. Worked out quite well.
The down side is you have two anniversaries and will be expected to celebrate both.
You can... I tried that once and the IP started leaking real bad and had to be replaced... don't know if it was related, but I am not going to try it again.
Anybody ever try a baffle tank to filter oil? You could even place large magnets on the outside of the tank to help attract the heavy metals. As the oil progresses over the series of baffles it becomes cleaner and cleaner.
Update.
I started to single out my rears yesterday... after looking on here and other sites for geared lug wrenches I decided to try taking them off with a good old fashion breaker bar.
It was so easy a caveman could do it. Glad I saved myself 160.00.
For now I am leaving the hubs...
Thanks for the pics Eagle.
My reasoning for singling out is that I have 5 bad tires and don't want to buy that many new ones. I plan to stay with the 9.00-11.00s, I would like to get a set of tires off of a 5 ton eventually, but haven't found anything within driving distance lately.
I know the military singled out m35s sometimes. Do they have a printed procedure for doing so? I have searched and most threads say that the hub flip is purely for aesthetics.
