I have the CAD Schematic. it is no help...
Clinto: what does 27 plug into? The voltage gauge is self grounded so only one wire runs to it... Is it off of the spider harness or truck harness?
I have put the alternator on the back burner as I am still trying to wire the gauges.
Of course the numbers on my harness do not match what the TM shows; here is what I have.
1 spider harness all tagged #27
Male wires marked: 33, 36, 28, and 85.
Female wires marked: 27, 17, 40 and 40 Yes I...
We have to play by their rules and in all reality this is the best possible situation for us. Too many people just drive un registered, uninsured trucks off base and home... eventually something bad will happen and all these trucks will start getting sold under a different dmil code (mutilate)...
Because this question comes up all the time I thought I would start an easily searchable thread with measurements in it.
So the Maximum drive leg room in a Deuce with a spring seat is 38 inches. That is 4 inches less than a 2001 Geo Metro. This was measured with the seat all the way back and...
So does the Canadian military run plates or is this a privately owned truck? Pretty sweet if this thing is surplus.
I drove a truck commercially for 7-8 years before I decided to get re-educated. A heavy hauler like this knows what they are doing, he would not take the time to stop and get a...
Some states don't a low the third axle. He is well under an over-size load, but looks are deceiving. If he has a load on like that and has the third axle down, he is just asking for trouble, when running at night. Better to flip the axle up and not give DOT a reason to check you.
I would guess...
The front of the truck is cross chained. And it looks to me that he has additional chains under the tandems, in the second pick you can barely see one dropping down to the right of the pumpkin.
They would make great Fire Chief rigs. We need to encourage as many fire depts as possible to snatch these up... In 10-15 years when they start coming back in in large volumes DOD isn't going to want to deal with them and the regs will get changed. It is one thing for them to take them in from...
I think the classifieds needs a separate moderator, maybe even two. Personally I think all mods should be assigned to individual areas rather than the forum as a whole.
How does changing the steering wheel or shortening the column effect leg room
I have a spring seat, and though I am not as tall as some of you (5 10) I like it much better then the box seat I had in my last truck, You can remove a solid two inches out of it by adjusting the lumbar...

Somewhere in the cab there is probably a warning label that tells you safe speed and RPMs,
How are you guys calculating MPG? Filling the tank isn't really an accurate indicator of fuel consumed and if you changed the tires you odometer isn't going to be accurate either?
I am looking for...
Was this the truck with front end damage and a broken window? If so it brought big bucks for what it was... And it looks like all those "kills" were from one accident.
Okay.. here is my piece.
I don't know how many of you have spent a cold morning crawling in the mud adjusting slack adjusters or trying to thaw out an air line so you can move the truck?
I have spent many, so I will stick with my duel circuit hydraulics. Air brakes are great for stopping a...
I will get a pic up tomorrow, the data plate is too dirty to read in the dark. I turned the regulator up, with no results. The batteries read 24.5 with the truck off.
