Today Soldier Number-One and I re-commissioned Area-52 for one more project --- The making of a pumpkin pie --- "The Great Pumpkin"
This is a project that has been a long time coming. Fourteen years ago I purchased a civilianized 1952 M37 that I named "The Woogie" . I named it The Woogie...

I've heard conflicting stories from people up here that have been stopped and checked. One guy said they used a clear tube and checked visually for red color. Another said they used a process that checks for the dye. Perhaps they use both. I hope you are right.

I'd like to run ATF but am afraid to because of the red color. The law checks everybody up here, including pickups, for off road diesel. If they stick your tank and find red you're in big trouble. I'm told the fine can be as high at $10,000.00.

Salt.
Liberally spraying the undercarriage and underside sheet metal with 50% ATF/50% Diesel "helps" keep the salt they put on the roads from totally destroying what it comes in contact with.

Granted I live in an extreme climate area but last winter, even with blended fuel and liberal doses of Power Service I still had jelling problems. This winter I'm not going to leave anything to chance. I'm switching to straight number-one with power service for lubricity.
I hate number-one...

That also works well when driving on lake ice in April
I always figured the reason MVs don't have rollbars is because it's against military regulations to roll them over. If Uncle Sam wanted you to roll over one of his vehicles he would have issued...
