 I've had Pinzgauers for 12 years, and sold my 716 just over a year ago (had it for almost 10 years). The irony was that I was always thinking I was going to end on my back climbing into it, and was going to find something a bit lower...blew that one  . And though some have...
Since many don't venture out of their 'niche' of vehicles part of the forum, I thought I'd post in 'member's rides' what I have made out of my FMTV ... I know, bad word to some.
If you have followed the thread in the FMTV section, you already know what I started with.
To those who haven't...
The Flying Dump Truck made its first public showing today at The Memorial Day event in Arcadia. This was the first time all the kit was mounted on it at the same time.... well, not actually. Some items had been left behind because of a lack of time, and moreso that there was too much stuff...
Thanks.
I'm in a quandary now. I have located a takeoff AO cab , that is fairy complete, but I "know" that 99% of my electrical and other hardware works... I'd be buying a fairly nice sheetmetal with all the fixtures an unknown.
I know where there is some "decent" upper sheetmetal for a AO cab...
She's home !
Whereas I'd like to say the Flying Dump Truck made a covert run under the cover of darkness to it's new base. ;) The 8 mile trip from Tankland to my shop was undertaken Sunday morning under the intel that the drunks were still sleeping or in jail, the good churchgoers were still...
A couple new pics of the temporary swing arm assembly for the SAW.
After the first event, I'll get down to revamping it... maybe even think further on the cage/ ring for the cab.
What can I say... I'm already getting bored... I can't leave well enough alone...:-P
OR, I can make a WMIK...

You are obviously new to this thread and hadn’t read any of the history up to the posting of that pic.
Mother is just a ‘different’ War Pig, and more than likely, a non-existent truck anymore.6 War Pigs were returned to BAE to be rebuilt to “as originally manufactured”condition ( aka stock...
This is the pic of "Mother"
My first impression was it looked similar to a Land Rover 101 and a Supacat Jackal.
A little better armed than the other War Pigs. It would be interesting to put a gun ring into the cage.... mmm, maybe something for me to build:-)
The racks were made with 3/4 x 3/4 material. Just because it is for display, and won't have any weight.
The truck is ready to come home:-D. Insurance is in place and need to clean it's space in the building ( still need to finish fabricating some items). The plan is to bring it up in the...
Well, I'm officially depressed and going through withdrawal.
I find myself searching ebay and the web for parts and kit... then realize that I'm not in need of anything that I've haven't already found or gotten other than a couple vehiclar weapon station parts
Last night I cut and...
Thank you Triple C. I am always glad when someone has the interest to go through the whole thread, especially one as long as this. I had no idea a year ago what started as an introduction of the truck would turn into a “build” thread. If I had, I would had chosen a different subject title more...
Finally, one colorish
Well, other than wanting a complete spare AO cab ( actually found one), the last major replacement part is on it's way here, a fuel tank!... would have happen a month ago, but the email was in an account I rarely check.
The truck was also sprayed today to make it...
Happy anniversary ! :) Although I didn’t receive the truck until June 24th, it will be I year tomorrow, I will have been the owner of the Flying Dump Truck
This last weekend saw the fitting of the HMMWV seats and the M2 mount in the bed… along with wall to wall carpeting?:?.. it wasn’t there...
Recently found another pic of a War Pig(s). Interesting is this is the first one I've seen which had used a boarding ladder strapped to the side. And with a few cuts of a saw and a couple passes of a welder, brackets were made to adapt the M1090/94 boarding ladder for hang on the side.:) Which I...
This goes back to quoting info from the web. Some info is out there to ease bad reps and sell a "newer, better" truck to the public. I only comment on my truck and hate 3rd hand info. I'll wait for a FMTV mechanic to actually say what is what. None of what's in that attached files indicates any...
Same engine and trans. A1 has improvements requested by the government..
The dataplate on mine is M1094, but by factory records, its a M1094A1
The 2 additional letters don't add weight, but options like a PTO and winch do. Could have been ordered with troop seats and cover..? Options will...
