If they gross over 26 K than by federal law you need a CDL. Some states will issue an air brake endorsement on a regular license as long as the vehicle is under 26 K.

Schooled in what? If I lived in an area with rock canyons to go up I might own a mog... But I haven't found any rock canyons in CT. Plenty of boat ramps and lots of water. A 404 could not tow a 8000 # sailboat and launch or retrieve it. Doesn't make one truck better then the other... It's like...
