Bad Carp, thanks!
I spent a lot of time looking for that info when I was getting ready to build the "She Beast", . . . didn't have any luck. Talked w/ multiple people from DMV, time on-line, etc.
w/ the rear suspension made the way it is, we almost never have things tossed about in side.
I have seen Elise tilt it so much that it freaked her right the sh!t out! I saw it in my mirror and all I could think was DON'T STOP!, DON'T STOP!, DON'T STOP!
That was before we had the Hemet rims and...
Not sure what they are using, I try to stay out of those cars ;) . . . but I'm running a laptop stand in mine. You can see it in the pictures. Holds my computer for running the map program w/ GPS, I then back that up w/ loads of paper maps. I think GPS is great for telling me where we are . . ...
It makes me nervous to have things mounted down near my knees, and by the door where I get in and out, that really creeps me out. When I put the CB in I had to do some figuring for the right location. It's away from my knees, I can't touch it w/ the shifter, I can see it (even if I can't hear...
We did put ours on the headboard of the trailer, on the inside. We weren't using it for major cargo, but had no trouble packing things around it. Mounted it sideways in the center.
Ours doesn't have rear brackets, just an "I" beam. The side mounts are 20 3/4" on all three of them.(outside of the cut, to outside)
. . . . . . . . . . . . just looked, . . . ours does have rear brackets, under the "I" beam
Not sure why you would need a sep diesel tank. We have been running 100% WMO for the last two years, till winter, then we cut it w/ 5-10 gal gas per 50 gal (mine likes a bit more gas then the She Beast). I'm in the process of mounting two 50 gal tanks in the bed of the Draggin'. One will get...
Has anyone seen ladders for the 146's? And why are there so many tabs on the sides of the trailer? Is it for some kind of deck?
It seems like the tabs under the side door are in the wrong place for a ladder, I know I have one of the alum ladders w/ round hooks propped on the tabs and it is a...
Did that one as well. My is designed to go into the stake-side holes, as I don't have any sides (it was a comm truck w/ a 280 in the bed). I can remove it if wanted.
The inside view is a piece of channel w/ a hole in the middle, there's a bolt welded into the main part, held tight by a...
They charge while we drive as well, there's a dual alt set-up on the truck. The panels are now getting mounted between the rails of the cab-over rack. When I designed it I knew that it would get panels and a solar batch water heater between the rails as we progressed, so the side rails run all...
Ours is on the charge controller for the solar panels. It doesn't let me (Elise really) see what is happening while driving (because it's in the box), but it does let us know what is going on while parked for days.
Elise's 109 has the straight through muffler that we got from Summit, we are thinking of double stacking them . . . there's room w/o pushing it too high. I've also fatmat'd the cab and will do the engine compartment as well, that will give me two layers on the firewall.
She still thinks it's...
